Whats a good hand cream?

Whats a good hand cream? that will make my hands soft and smoothWhats a good hand cream?
I am a huge fan of the L'Occitane Shea Butter hand cream. It is formulated with 20% shea butter and you only need about a pea-sized amount, as it is very concentrated. For a fun hand cream, I love the Jaqua ones. They aren't as much for moisturizing however they make my hands really soft-and they're only $8 a pop. I highly recommend the Raspberry Buttercream Frosting.

  • Help with hand cream?

i need to know what kind of hand cream is good for me because i pick my fingers... and it hurts whats a good cream?Help with hand cream?
Cetaphil Cream, not lotion. It comes in both, but the cream is so much better. you can get it at any grocery store or walgreens etc...

Hand cream , body lotion , face cream?

can i use hand cream on my face

what is the difference between all those cream or is it just a marketing ploy is it all the same thing reallyHand cream , body lotion , face cream?
I suppose it depends on the consistency. Lotions tend to be runny and have a greater water content, where as creams are thicker with more oil ingredients and a lot greasier; not nice on the face. The skin is the biggest organ we have but has different needs and treatments. I feel we overdo it at times and don鈥檛 let nature do its stuff and allow our skin to breath and repair itself. I use anything of substance on my hands and body but stick to facial creams/lotions for my face.

http://www.vivawoman.net/2008/10/10/can-鈥?/a>Hand cream , body lotion , face cream?
i don't know but i use hand cream on like my legs when i don't have body lotion but im not sure about the face cream if it doesn't go on your face then don't put it there hope i could help.
hand cream is to heavy for your face. it will cause wrinkles in the long run. Face cream is much lighter and contains different ingredients.

Has anyone used Burt's Bees hand or day cream? do they work for very dry skin?

    Hi

I use Forever Living Aloe Propolis which is Aloe Vera and Bee propolis it works for me, so it may be worth a try.

www.foreverbeealoe.comHas anyone used Burt's Bees hand or day cream? do they work for very dry skin?
Nothing works better than Vaseline, the oldfashioned kind in a jar.

Can I mix different hand/body cream or lotions? ?

I mixed glysomed with mango lotion from sephora, aveeno, and the vitamin e moisture cream from body shopCan I mix different hand/body cream or lotions? ?

Yea, it isn't going to hurt you or anything, but I'm sure they are meant to do different things...I used to do that to get different scents when i was younger.

Good Hand Cream and Makeup Help?

My hands are dry and reddish during the winter, and i was wondering what your favorite brand of handcream is.

id like something that smells nice and really works

i have a ton of different hand creams, but none of them really do much for me... :( lol

oh and if it could be from sephora that would be helpful too, because my bday is coming up and someone is getting me sephora stuff of my choosing (yayy) speaking of which.... any sephora favorites (anything but foundation, because i dont use that)Good Hand Cream and Makeup Help?
For dry skin I use Hempz Herbal Moisturizer, it's not specifically a hand moisturizer, but it works wonders at helping dry skin. Philosophy is also a great brand for moisturizers and lotions, and this brand can be found at Sephora.

As for Sephora favorites, I have been shopping at Sephora for years and I am a 100% Sephora addict! I've tried all kinds of make-up and products from there so I'll give you a few of my favorites!

For eyeshadow, I love Bare Escentuals bareMinerals eyeshadow. They have all kinds of colors and types, like matte shadows and glimmer shadows (which I love!). The brand Too Faced also has some great shadows.

For eyeliners, I alternate between liquid and pencil, just depends on the day! For liquid I use Urban Decay. It goes on very smoothly and does not rub off all day. For pencil I use Make Up For Ever's Aqua Eyes. It is waterproof and it also stays on all day without smudging or fading.

My favorite mascara is by the brand Lorac and it's called Lotsa Lash. It has tiny fibers in it that cling to your lashes so it really makes your lashes look fuller and longer. All those commercials say they do this, but this mascara really does work!

My last suggestion is one that I tell everyone about, it's Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion and it is worth every cent! It is a primer that you put on your eyelids before applying eyeshadow and it makes your eyeshadow look 10 times brighter and more vibrant, and it also eliminates the ';creases'; that some eyeshadows leave on your eyes after it's been on for awhile. It makes your eyeshadow look perfect all day. I swear by this stuff!

Hope this helps you out! Have a great sweet 16th!Good Hand Cream and Makeup Help?
Well... the stuff I like that's not from Sephora is St. Ive's Mineral Hand Cream. It leaves your hands really soft, absorbs quickly, and doesn't leave a sticky residue....

As for Sephora: I love philopsohy products! They are top quality and have wonderful smelling and moisturizing lotion.

Products that I love from Sephora:

    1. Stila Eyeshadow Quad (in Sapphire collection)

    2. Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer

    3. Benefit Lip Tint/ Stain in the color of your choice (I really like their deeper red shades)

    4. Sephora brand slim pencil eyeliner has great color shades and stay on for the WHOLE day.

    Hope this helped! Happy shopping!

Lotion hand cream on a tattoo?

I got a tattoo on the 18th and they told me to wash it twice a day and to put lotion on it after the first day, so i went to Wall mart and got Lubriderm advanced therapy hand cream that is unscented and helps heal and protect and is 24-hour moisture, non-greasy, and vitamin, nutrient and antioxidant enriched. well the tattoo is all black and is kine of getting this white tent to it so i was wondering if it is ok to keep using it, and if the white tent will go awayLotion hand cream on a tattoo?
after having 6 tattoos, i can tell you to use Curel ultra healing lotion...

used it since my first one and never have had a problem.

cuts down on the overall scabbing from the tattooLotion hand cream on a tattoo?
NO NO NO NO NO NO!!!!! Wash with lukewarm water and mild, liquid antibacterial or antimicrobial soap. Not Dial its to harsh! Get tattoo goo or H2o(your artist should have had this in their shop, its worth the investment). You do not put any lotion on it till it is healed. You can use A%26amp;D vitamin enriched ointment, but if you don't have any, Bacitracin orpharmacistr antibacterial ointment is acceptable. Sometimes you have Libriumarmacist behind the counter for these...I don't know why? Then use Lubriderm when it is healed.

**Do not use Neosporin. This is a wonderful product for cuts and scrapes, but not for tattoos. Some can have an allergic reaction to the Neosporin, which causes little red bumps. When the bumps go away, so does the ink, and you end up with a polka-dotted tattoo.

Good Luck and never never pick at it!!!
The tattoo place should have given you something to take home, to keep it moisturized. I can't think of the name of the stuff though - sorry.

Do you have any aloe gel? The pure stuff, not a lotion 'with aloe' in it? If so, use it. Put a touch of water/moisture on your skin, just enough to make it damp or dewy feeling, then put the aloe over it. Might help temporarily.

When you get the chance, call the place you got the tattoo from, and ask if they can give you some advice. It's only been a few days and they owe you a little info about the care of it.

    Good Luck.
i use unscented lubriderm as well after about 4 or 5 days and have a good amount of ink in me. you're doing fine. there is a point where it can be too moist though, you'll get little pimples in it if you over do it....
i've always just used soap %26amp; antibiotic ointment.

the whiteness is probably old skin-the top layer of skin will flake off with a layer of color.
a white coating is normal and is the way for the tattoo to heal itself.
When I got my tattoo they told me to only use bacatracin ointment. Ask your tattoo artist.

  • Can anyone give examples of how we can apply non bonded interactions in life such as hand cream.?

ohh wat r u gonna b using that hand cream for? buddyCan anyone give examples of how we can apply non bonded interactions in life such as hand cream.?
non-bonded. I must assume you mean non-covalent bonding

well guess what. water is a liquid due to hydrogen bonding

kevlar vests work through hydrogen bonding

plastics can be made solid purely due to van der waals interactions (consider that plastics are longer variants of the same chemicals found in gasoline)

pi-stacking and hydrogen bonding are the 2 type of interactions that give DNA it's structure (along with the native chemical structure)

    there are countless other examples.

dig a little harder, that was easy. even an engineer should be able to answer that question...

How long should it take to whisk wipping cream by hand?

so far been whisking for about 25 minutes!!! the cream isnt whipping :S its 600 ml of whipping cream.. any help??How long should it take to whisk wipping cream by hand?
I don't think it is going to whip. It should take about 5 minutes. Everything has to be very cold-we put it in the freezer; even the room should be cool. Put bowl and wisk in freezer and get new cream start again. We use glass or metal bowls not plastic %26amp; very clean no oil in bowls.

    Good luck.

    ======

Preparing Whipped Cream in Hot or Cold Weather

Whether it is during hot or cold weather the same basic method is used for whipping cream. The important thing to keep in mind is that the working environment should be as cool as possible and the ingredients and the utensils used should be well chilled.

    Keeping It Cool!

    * The cream should be kept in the coldest part of the refrigerator until just before using.

    * The beaters and mixing bowl, or the wire whisk should be placed in the freezer for at least 15 minutes before whipping the cream.

    * Place the mixing bowl in a larger bowl of ice water to keep the bowl chilled while whipping the cream.

    * HOT WEATHER: Whip in an air-conditioned room. If you do not have air conditioning, whip in the coolest part of your house and be sure to have the mixing bowl sitting in a bowl of ice water.

    * COLD WEATHER: Slightly open a window in the work area, preferably one where the cool air can blow in directly at the bowl containing the cream.

    Whipping the Cream

To make 2 cups of whipped cream: Use 1 cup of heavy cream

    * Remove the mixing bowl and beaters from the freezer after sufficiently chilled. Be sure to use a bowl big enough to hold the cream once it is whipped. Cream will double in volume. It is also best to use a bowl that is narrow with deep sides. Place the mixing bowl in a larger bowl of ice water.

    * Add 1 cup of heavy cream in the chilled mixing bowl and beat with a hand mixer for 20 to 30 seconds on low until bubbles begin to form.

    * A hand balloon whisk or a stand mixer can also be used to beat the cream. A whisk will take a little longer to get the same results as a hand mixer. If using a stand mixer, be careful because the cream can become overwhipped quickly because the stand mixer generally is more powerful.

    * Increase mixer speed to medium and beat until the cream begins to thicken and the beaters show a slight trail in the cream.

    * Increase mixer speed to high and beat until the cream begins to thicken and puff up. Just before it gets to the soft peak stage slowly add 2 tablespoons of sugar and any flavoring desired off to the side of the bowl, continue beating. Be sure to move beaters along the sides and bottom of the bowl while whipping the cream.

    * Continue to beat the cream until it forms a soft or stiff peak. This will depend on how you are going to use the whipped cream. If you are going to fold it into another mixture, only beat the cream to a soft peak. If you are using as a topping, garnish or decoration, beat to a stiff peak.

    * For a soft peak, beat until a soft curved peak forms when pulling the beaters straight up out of the mixture. At this point the whipped cream is still soft enough to fold into the other ingredients easily.

    * For a stiffer peak, continue to beat at high speed for 20 to 30 seconds. To check for stiff peaks, pull the beaters straight up out of the whipped cream. The peak should hold its shape and stick tightly to the beaters.

Note: DO NOT overwhip the cream. Once it forms stiff peaks, stop beating. If the cream is overwhipped it will start to separate and curdle.

    * Try to salvage overwhipped cream by adding 1 to 2 tablespoons more of cream and gently whisking them in. Do Not Use mixer to beat in or the same problem will occur. How long should it take to whisk wipping cream by hand?
Not nearly that long! Do you have whipping cream (about 35 percent butterfat)? Coffee cream won't whip.

Try putting your bowl in the freezer until the cream is nearly freezing (a tiny tiny bit of iciness at very edge).

I assume you are using a whisk? It's really tough to do with just a fork. The whole point is to incorporate air into the cream, so you need to lift the whisk partly out of the cream and do this rapidly.
It doesn't take long, but if your doing it by hand, the bowl needs to be metal and COLD, as does the cream. Try putting a metal bowl in the freezer for a few minutes, or filling it with ice. Just make sure that it's completely dry before you try.
You need a beater to whip it. It should be getting pretty warm after that long. Do you have any dram whip if you do add a package of that to it
About 5 minutes. If the bowl is dirty it won't whip. Are you using a whisker, with a fork it would take ages.
Not that long! It's a hot day - maybe the cream has gone off?
it depends how thick your cream is... the more thicker the more stirring

What is that cream called they use to numb your arm or hand before taking blood in inserting a canula?

And does it work please as I have severe needle phobia xxxWhat is that cream called they use to numb your arm or hand before taking blood in inserting a canula?
    Hi

    It's called EMLA cream.

That stand for Eutectic Mixture of Local Anaesthetics.

There is another one called 'AMETOP' but thats not as popular.

You can also make the skin cold and numb with ETHYL CHLORIDE SPRAY.What is that cream called they use to numb your arm or hand before taking blood in inserting a canula?
This would (I expect) be a disinfectant and a topical anaesthetic, (Probably lignocaine). Yes, they work.
Yes the creams work. There are several available. They are all types of Lignocaine. Best is to try and overcome your needle phobia. I have had it all my life and have had over 50 operations and thousands of various types of injection. Mind power is best way of coping
dont know the real name - we used to call it magic cream
I was unaware that such were still used as the needle insertion would push it into the artery...
There are several creams that can be used, all are topical anaesthetics like lidocaine, or benzocaine. It works, because it numbs the area in question for quite some time.

but inserting a needle really doesn't hurt! you just feel a slight sting when it enters and that's it...

I can understand that you're scared, though, and you can just ask for an anaesthetic cream/spray/wipe, explain you're afraid of needles and they'll understand.

So simple!!! 1) apply lots of Vaseline to your hands just before you go to bed, and wear protective gloves which you can buy in boots. youll wake up with silky hands. 2) come to me for parafin wax treatment, it makes wonders! 3) always wear gloves when washing up and doing the cleaning!!My hands are really dry and they cut by itself i used neutrogena hand cream but it dosent work help plz?
your dry hands could be from constantly cleaning with chemicals and washing them too much. i once had that problem when i worked as a housekeeper. as soon as i stopped working my hands eventually healed. i don't know what lotions are helpful but i do know that scented lotion will sting. Report Abuse

buy some soft cotten gloves and at night put them on to sleep in aand put loads of handcream in..this will have to done every night and eventually they should start to soften
    vaseline works wonders, try it.
Try massaging your hands with vaseline. It's greasy but your hands will stay moisturized.
I also have this problem in the winter. Here is the best thing I have found: Go to your local feed store or animal health store and get some Corona. Apply it to your hands liberally before bedtime and put extra onto the cracks. Put cotton gloves or socks on over your hands. Your hands will heal very quickly. You only need to do it again when you feel another split coming on.
Start using corn huskers lotion. You can get it from Walmart for aout 2.00..use it several times a day it will help...It is really good for mechanic hands makes them nice and soft..if it can heal their hands I am sure it can help ours too..
Try Eucerin. It's stuff they use in hospitals. I wash my hands all the time now since I had a baby, so my hands get so dry they crack sometimes. If I put Eucerin on it and by the end of the day they've healed. Get Eucerin Original
my niece has this problem and we tried every lotion there was but that was over the counter i would see a skin doctor for this since they are educated in this field and get the proper medication for your hands, my nieces hand are doing better because of it
drink all of water and try to speak to dctor about this...
Do you notice a change when it starts getting cold outside?

Use a good hand lotion, make sure your hands don't get cold when you go outside. Drink plenty of water, take vitamins (lack of vitamin B and C was said to be the cause of my hands being like that 20 years ago).
cover them with Vaseline and put cotton gloves on them when you are going to bed. Do this for a week and you will see a difference. My sister did this and it works.
Go to the tractor supply store, or most any old country feed store, and get yourself some cow tit cream or ointment...a lot of women use it for the hands especially in the winter.

Or the Pharmacy should carry Buttocks Butt paste...no joke its for babies Butts...it works for hands as well
I think that Cold Pressed Sesame and Cold Pressed Raw Coconut Oil would best help you. (the emphasis is on coconut oil) You should both rub it topically on the affected skin and take internally for the skin %26amp; body. Read up on these two oils. Also Blackcurrant Oil...

Sesame Oil is the very best natural conditioner for the skin. When you rub it on, it doesn't stop at the skin the way other oils and creams do. Sesame Oil penetrates to the very marrow of the bone. On the way it gathers oil soluble toxins and takes them into the blood stream to be eliminated by the body as waste. It also neutralizes oxygen radicals, which are thought to be one of the major causes of aging.

Coconut oil is a medium-chain saturated fatty acid that has numerous health benefits:

    * Antiviral, Antimicrobial, and Antifungal Properties

Coconut oil contains lauric acid and its derivative, monolaurin. Both are considered to have properties that destroy viruses, such as HIV, herpes, influenza (the ';flu';), and cytomegalovirus, bacteria, such as H. pylori, and protozoa, such as giardia.

    # Increases Metabolic Rate

Coconut oil can be integrated into a healthy weight loss plan. It stimulates metabolism.

    # Other Possible Benefits of Coconut Oil

Coconut oil is also believed to help with cholesterol regulation by raising ';good'; HDL cholesterol. It also shows promise in tumor prevention and has a nourishing/replenishing effect to the skin.
you could try some hemp cream. from body shop. very good, smother some on and leave it to soak in.
Buy a large tub of Aqueous cream - very inexpensive. Keep applying it all day long at frequent intervals. If that doesn't work it may be some type of skin condition that will need prescription cream from your doctor
Before you do to bed use some Auquaphor..it`s a healing ointment that you can but at any drug store...put that on and then wear some cotton gloves to bed and in the morning your hand`s will be so soft, also works great on the feet!
when you wash your hands make sure you dry them properly try using eperderm its really good for very dry skin works a treat
How about Neosporin? Even it's own commercials tell about putting it on dry skin and cuts. You can put it on and put some thin gloves on overnight. Or vaseline.
I use Aqueous Cream BP on my face - it's the only thing that works for me. You can get it on perscription as well. Ask your doctor.
when you go to bed cover your hands in almond oil and put on a pair of those surgical gloves. it feels horrible but makes your skin soft as a babys bum
put on lots of vaseline on your hands, then put on clean white cotton socks over your hands, go to bed and leave them on all night.

    yes.
I don`t use hand creams really. sorry Deb.
    NOPE.
Yes of course! Bath %26amp; Body works sells the nice ones that smell good and fit in your purse. They even have the anti-bacterial ones.
Rarely, I really need to get into a routine and do so. I don't have dry hands unless I go outside so I don't really bother. If I do I use Palmer's Cocoa Butter Lotion which is really good and long lasting. =] x
    'Helping Hands' by Lush.

Hand creams for skin repair on your hands?

Any suggestions for good creams to use after rock climbing, especially after regular time at the wall?

I've started using metolius superchalk. Really dries out your hands.

I've seen Climb on stuff, and Hand Jam stuff online. But I'd rather just buy the best.Hand creams for skin repair on your hands?
cocoa butter smells good and keeps skin healthy. most drug stores have it. cvs, rite aid, etc.Hand creams for skin repair on your hands?
I know it sounds crazy, but you might want to try good old-fashioned Vaseline on your hands. My son had extremely chapped cracking hands a few days ago and I didn't want to put lotion on it for fear of it burning. So I looked around the house and found Vaseline. He put it on and not only did it not burn his hands, but the redness and drying went away within minutes! Try it!
When I started climbing, my hands were awful. Thick blisters, bloody knuckles, and callusess so thick they must have been a good quarter of an inch. But, as I started climbing reguluarly, the skin strengthened. As long as you climb at a constant pace for a while, your hands will adapt.
Look in your local CVS or Walgreen's or better your really local old fashion drugstore (but I doubt they still exist) for a can of Bag Balm. It's a heavy greasy compound like Vaseline but smells better. It used to be used by farmers when they were milking cows. And it heels dry chapped skin as well as protects.
I really like Neutrogena. They make stuff called hand butter (I think). It moisturizes so well and it smells GREAT!!!!! It is available at CVS and Rite Aid.
    aveeno.

I need to know what hand cream is the best for stengthining nails...oh and what other nail products work well for strengthening nails?Which is the best hand cream....?
Lotion doesn't help really at all. You need to take a good multi vitamin and omega 3 fatty acid supplements. Also keep fresh polish on your nails and change it every 3 days or so. Weak nails are a sign of bad nutrition.Which is the best hand cream....?
i don't know but your avatar is awesome
Yes, Olive Oil or Primrose Oil...

    Best for skin and nail.
There is a cream for horses hoofs that they sell at sally's that works well for strengthening the nails. The best nail treatment that I've used is Nail Magic also from sally's. It's awesomel
''DERMALOGICA'' an intense,non-greasy treatment to protect and repair chapped hands while strengthening the nail against splitting and peeling,SPF15,pro vit ,b5,heal dry, rough, provide an invisible barrier. The best one for me,really good.
WASHINGTON - The House voted Wednesday to require Americans to show proof of citizenship in order to vote, and the Senate moved to build a 700-mile fence along the Mexican border as Republicans sharpened attacks on illegal immigration before the midterm elections.
I was once advised to dip my hands in a mixture of gelatin and water (2 tsp gelatin in a small bowl of water). I dont know if it worked but my nails don't chip that bad anymore. also it was a natural solution rather than expensive treatments at salons. To make hands soft the best cream is Body Shop's shea butter.
tea tree hand body lotion. It's water soluble.

  • What is the absolute best hand cream for super dry, cracked skin on hands? ?

The absolute best for rehydration is Lucas Papaw ointment. It has the consistency of vaseline but is natural and healing. Even putting it on overnight the first time you notice a vast difference the next morning. Super for lips too. What is the absolute best hand cream for super dry, cracked skin on hands? ?
There are two things that really work well. One is the old standby vaseline. Do this especially at night when going to bed. Rub a generous amount on your hands, between your fingers, on the sides of the hands. Keep rubbing it until it is well saturated, then rub any heavy excess off when a paper towel or tissues. During the day when you can, and you won't like this but believe me it works, cup one hand and pour some Heinz White Vinegar in it, the rub it all over your hands. White vinegar has the least smell unlike Apple Cider Vinegar, and it dissipates quickly. Who cares about the little smell, it's better than having dry cracked skin. Just try it once and you'll feel the smoothness. Don't wash your hands in extremely hot water either. Just warm or even cold will do the same. Besides, it's the suds from the soaps that wash away bacteria, and how you hold your hands to drain off the suds. Point them downward and let the water run over them and off the tips of your fingers. You may be using the Germ X, which does work, but eventually, it dries the skin. So make sure you wash your hands with soap after a while of using the Germ X. If you use rubber gloves, make sure they are the powder-less kind. Wishing you the very best young lady and good luck getting rid of those dry scaly hands. What is the absolute best hand cream for super dry, cracked skin on hands? ?
Anything that contains hemp because hemp is super moisterizing and it locks moister in. It's great to use anytime your hands are dry, before bed, in the morning, anytime. Use all over your body right after showers and your skin will stay super moisterized all day long. Same thing with using on hands after you wash them. And you can use it everywhere because it's not greasy and smells great. All hemp lotions have the THC taken out of them too, so it won't make you fail a drug test, and it won't do anything trippy to you. Anyway good luck, hope this helps.

There are many good ones. Some smell real good. Some are more absorbent then others and immediately soak into your skin.

How old are you? Dry cracked skin can also be a sign of a Thyroid problem, but if your young and wash a lot of dishes, it is probably just that.
The very best is Bag Balm, but you can't use it in public because its greasy, just put it on before you go to bed, it will cure even the worst bleeding cracked hands. They use it on cows utters after all and yes I have used it and its amazing.

That is normal. The white cream is an indication that you're ovulating or about to ovulate and your vagina is ';cleaning itself out.'; You'll have white creamy discharge once a month every month. try Artistry Creme Caramel Hand cream, it makes all skin types feel soo soft!!!

I work in an office and I'm handling papers all day. so my hands are really really dry.. i use hand cream?

like crazy but its not enough. does any body know of some real good cream for the hands???I work in an office and I'm handling papers all day. so my hands are really really dry.. i use hand cream?
Vaseline. Don't knock it 'till you try it. I worked as a chef and all the hand washing did my hands in. The only thing that restored them was petroleum jelly. If you look through the ingredients in most hand creams you'll find alcohol in one form or other which hinders moisturizing so it doesn't last. Give it a shot!I work in an office and I'm handling papers all day. so my hands are really really dry.. i use hand cream?
Cetaphil. It cost about $15.00 for 85 grams in Canada but with my sensitive skin, I don't skimp on hand cream.

It's concentrated. A little goes a long way and it's dermatologist recommended. Fragrance free, non-irritating and non-greasy.

    Good luck with your choice.
If you can get Avon, I highly HIGHLY recommend Moisture Therapy - intensive in the 4.5 fl oz squeeze tube. they are on sale alot for two for $5. It's the best stuff. I've got alot people hyped on it. Can't live without it. It's not runny...it has a thick vaseline texture. But when u put it on...it's not greasy. You won't fully understand or appreciate until you try it. I haven't been able to find anything like it.
Hello, I do that to and I use Gold Bond Ultimate healing...Its awesome.. I use it everyday!! Try it
My husband has the worst case of dry hands ever -

he swears by Corn Huskers lotion and I make him try Arbonne hand cream (he likes it because it absorbs fast)

I get the corn huskers at the super market - I heard people say Walmart too - check with a rep for Arbonne -

The bottom line is don't use any creams with a mineral oil to them it hardens/dries out your skin not helps soothe it.

Yes this means all Petroleum based products - vaseline baby oils and mineral oil creams - google petroleum

it acts like saran wrap on your skin - contrary to what people believe - it's not good for you!

  • If u use a hand mixer to whisk or beat milk, will it turn into whipped cream?

... if not i need an easy whipped cream recipeIf u use a hand mixer to whisk or beat milk, will it turn into whipped cream?
Milk will not work...you need something with a higher fat content...which is why cream whips. Buy whipping cream and beat it up, you can use a hand mixer or a whisk but mixing by hand will just take longer. If you want it sweeter you can add icing sugar/confectioners sugar and a little bit of vanilla extract. If u use a hand mixer to whisk or beat milk, will it turn into whipped cream?
    AYDFD????? NO.
There is an electric mixer that will whip milk into a cream like whip cream. Sorry I can't remember the name of it. It has a long handle and a round base (it is designed to fit into a glass). They sell them at Wal Mart.
The fat content is part of why the cream will beat, milk is generally 4% fat, and whipping cream is around 35%
No. You need to have cream in order to whip it into whipped cream. Milk has had most of the fat taken out of it, or at least some of it.
no it won't. Heavy cream is the only thing to do
No, you need to use ';wipping cream';, then it will turn into whipped cream.
    no milk will not

get some heavy cream and throw in some sugar and whip it

    you will have whipped cream
If you want whipped cream you have to start with heavy cream or whipping cream - not milk.

    RECIPE INGREDIENTS

    2 cups heavy cream

1/4 cup sugar, or to taste

    1 tablespoon vanilla extract

    RECIPE METHOD

Add the cream, and whip quickly with a wire whisk or hand mixer until the cream is slightly thickened. Now add the sugar and any flavorings. Continue to whip until cream forms soft peaks. Don't whip beyond the soft-peak stage, because the cream will get stiff and curdle. Whipped cream made with good-quality cream should last for 24-hours.
buy cream , whipping or heavy cream from the dairy section in your supermarket. That will whip nicely , add a little sugar if you want it very sweet .
must use heavy whipping cream. milk is too thin
buy a pint of whipping cream. Beat it with electric mixer until it thickens gradually add 2 TBS. of sugar (1tsp. vanilla is optional)

Don't over beat......or you will have a very sweet butter!
    no you need whipping cream
    no heavy cream

Aveeno. O:What is the best hand cream?
Bath and body works body butter or Burt Bees hand cream find that at Target they work very well!
That would have to be Aveeno. It Moistens your hands and it smells fresh.
Vitamin E hand cream from the Body shop it rocks! and smells good too
hey harshie! OMG! haha i know you =] hey but um you should use like a hand cream from a good company and liek say nivea or something like that =] cant wait to see you tomz =]
I think is the hand made ice-cream but it was happened in olden time. They used to blend or crunch the ice-cute and scranch it into a ice ball. But you want the relevant answer for best hand cream it would be from Rose Escentic which where it's from Canada a farm production.
I would have to say Burt's Bees hand salve, its sold in a small tin. I like the milk and almond one myself. Here's a good trick; before you go to bed, rub it all over your hands and then put on moisture golves and keep them on all night. You can get the gloves at any drug store and even Wal-Mart and Target.
    ice cream!
    vaseline or burt's bees
Well, coming from someone who has the DRIEST skin ever i would say Johnson's SoftLotion 24HR Moisturizer. The only one that keeps my hands from cracking and isn't all greasy. Also the pharmacist at cvs told me the only way lotions will really work is before you put lotion on soak your hands in hot water for 5 minutes then apply lotion, otherwise the skin will just suck up the lotion right up and get no benefits. Really works!
bath and body works.. look ma new hands from the true blue spa works really good it has paraffin in it which makes hands reallly soft!
    Aquifor.

Fills in dry cracked skin both body and face, lips and others.

DONT use for rashes. Irritating and affects the rash even more.

    No Odors and dries slowly.

    Retinol Cream.

Especially for the hands. Filled with Vitamin A.

    Odor: creamy.

Very little oil and rejuvinates cracked and dried palm and backhand skin.
I like Avon's Silicone Glove. It helps to protect my hands all day.

Aveeno. its really helps the skins hydration
    Lush, Dream Cream
I like Lubriderm - also plain old Vaseline works well for really dry hands
Curel. It absorbs fast, doesn't leave you greasy, and lasts even through a couple of handwashings. Avoid Lubriderm which is oily.
LOVE aveeno sensitive skin (fragrance free). It is sooo good :)

I bought some hemp hand cream from the body shop and now I smell like weed?

I found out that hemp is really good for your skin and bought some hemp hand cream. I'm not sure if i should wear it at work. It works on my hands but i smell like I'm a stoner when i use it.

Should i keep using it?I bought some hemp hand cream from the body shop and now I smell like weed?
    ew thats freakin gross...

i know of this hemp hand cream and it actually smells really good. you can find it at any beauty supply store and its equally good for your skin without the nasty skunk smell.

link is below. check it out.I bought some hemp hand cream from the body shop and now I smell like weed?
Actually, hemp isn't marijuana. They are different plants, they look different, etc.

Hemp does not produce THC either, so you wouldn't smell like pot. And you also couldn't have smoked hemp and gotten high.

So I doubt you know what marijuana smells like, and you probably haven't smoked it before, have you?
My hemp lotion doesn't smell like weed at all.

Have you ever smoked or even smelled marijuana? Because fomr what I'm gathering you haven't.
well now you have the perfect excuse to come to work baked. Just blame your hand cream. I really don't see a problem here.
My hemp lotion smells nothing like weed. That is funny. i would keep using it but carry the lotion on me in case anyone asks!
Smelling like a stoner isn't a bad thing, you know. Just wear perfume.
agrees with beggin...to me it doesnt smell like hemp...it has a better smell lol

Absolutely! If they suspect you're smoking it, tell them to do a drug test.
    whats hemp??

Hi! I don't know if you have a Lowe's Home Improvement store around you...but they sell this wonderful hand cream! It's called ';O'Keefe's Working Hands';. It's in a green tub, and it works great! I too have sensitive, rough, cracked skin but not since using this. Who would ever thought of going to Lowe's...lol. I put it on my hands, feet, and elbows. Plus a little of it goes a long way. I think they also sell them in a tube now.

You won't be disappointed! Good luck!Hand cream.... which one should I buy?
Aveeno....works really well for dry or chapped hands.
dermatologists have good creams if you go to one ask.

    if not

KIEHL's has amazing hand cream products.. go on ebay to get them cheaper tho
Dont buy such creams.. The BEST creams are sold at ';the body shop'; and from my experience their best hand-cream is called ';HEMP';- Hand protector- dry to extremely dry skin.

  • I need a really good hand cream...?

my hand's have been so dry lately, it's driving me (and my boyfriend lol) crazy... I have tried a bunch of different lotions, nothing seems to help tho. anyone have any other ideas? or better lotions?I need a really good hand cream...?
Don't use lotions, they are full of stuff that might not exactly help.

Get some vaseline - from the pharmacy, for example. Cover your hands with vaseline and leave it on for night (you have to wear gloves). Trust me, it helps.I need a really good hand cream...?
Mary Kay Satin hands stuff is really good, I love it.

You want to get the Extra emollient night cream, The buffer cream stuff (I forgot what it's called sorry...), the cleansing gel, and the hand cream.

It works FANTASTIC, I used to have the same problem as you, and I was really self-concious about it, but I got that stuff, and it makes your hands really soft and moisterized, and it protects your hands from becoming future dryness, and damage from the sun and etc.

Also, you should have a nice mini bottle of lotion (something that smells niice) to keep with you in your purse or something, just in case. I like those nice little things from bath %26amp; body works

Put on moisterizer right after the shower, because that's when the dryness starts. For this I like using Vaseline Deep conditoning moisterizer, it evens your skin tone, and has vitamin e, and really moisterizes well.

Also, wear gloves when it's cold, skin always drys out in the cold.

    Hope this helps =DD
I worked at Macy's, I've tried them all. THE BEST HAND CREAM IN THE WORLD IS ';MAKE A DIFFERENCE'; BY ORIGINS.

It smells like heaven (kind of vanilla %26amp; fresh apricot) but the fact is... it makes a difference! It's like a silky protective glove and it's JUST FOR HANDS. Will cost ya a little under $20 and it's worth every penny. Plus, they will do your makeup/facial give you a hand massage with the cream and even free samples! I would know! ;)
Vaseline Healthy Hand and Nail, or Olay Quench. You have to be consistant though, put it on ALL the time. That's the only way I've been able to keep my hands soft is putting lotion on them all day.
elizabeth arden 8 hour cream hand cream

i heard it's good but i've never tried it

i use vaseline hand lotion and i think it's good

    keeps your hands really soft

    X
At night coat your hands in Vaseline then wrap them in clean cotton socks after 3 nights you will have super soft and smooth hands. Then just use any lotion you like to maintain and reapply the treatment as needed. Good Luck!
    Norweigan formula hand cream. (:
the soap and glory line from target has a good hand cream. its really thick i think its called like glove
try CAUDALIE's hand cream from Sephora!!! it smells great and your hand will be super smooth!
E45. i swear by it, its for hands and body and it works really well, try it.

xWhich Font Should I use for my hand cream?
None of those, they are all standard Word fonts. Get a better one online I'd say! Or it will look a little cheap. If you DO pick one, Monotype Corsiva is probably the nicest one there :)

xWhich Font Should I use for my hand cream?
Take a look at Rob Leuschke's fonts. He's a font designer with a very particular style that I think would suite Purple Fantasy quite well - kind of modern scripts. These fonts are about $25 each which is quite reasonable in the font world.

Does anyone know how to make homemade ice cream by hand? Discuss scientifically why we add salt to the ice?

There's several ways to make ice-cream by hand. An easy and fun way is to put your ice cream ingredients into a zip lock back. Put that back into another one and duct tape it shut. Place your bag into an empty coffee can filled with salt and ice. Proceed to have kids kick the can around for about a half hour to an hour. Make a game out of it.

As to how it works, the salt reduces the melting temperature of the ice. As the ice melts, it ';absorbs'; heat, making the inside of the can, colder faster.Does anyone know how to make homemade ice cream by hand? Discuss scientifically why we add salt to the ice?
Salt makes ice even colder.Does anyone know how to make homemade ice cream by hand? Discuss scientifically why we add salt to the ice?
Yes, I have my grandma's recipe which I personally think is the best in the world and can only be made on a manual machine for best flavor.

The making of ice cream was originally a laborious process. The temperature was reduced by placing the ice cream mixture into a container that was immersed in a mixture of crushed ice and salt. The dissolving of salt in water is endothermic and the salt allows liquid water to be below the freezing point of pure water, allowing the immersed container with cream to make better contact with the melted water/ice mixture.
Ice cream is a complex of protein, fat, air and water. Blended together it forms a delicious, frozen treat :)

To make homemade icecream by hand, find a recipe (try online) and use a technique that 'fluffs' the ice cream while also cooling the icecream slowly. This will help add air to the mixture and will give your ice cream a better 'mouth feel' than icecream without the air.

The salt helps to destabilize the ice matrix of the frozen water so that the water crystals are not too large and crunchy. This helps the mixture of all of your ingredients to, well, Mix!

    Hope this helps!
technically the salt doesnt make the ice cream colder but the process of adding the salt lowers the freezing point of ice so that the ice water stays colder than 32 degrees F. this is why salt will melt ice at temperatures colder than 32 degrees therefore salt in ice water will keep the salt water several degrees colder therefore keeping the icecream which is submerged in the ice water freeze inside the canister...hope that helps it is kind of hard to explain

EVERY damn day! Seriously. And yeah, it burns and I'm even kind of blinded temporarily....plus a few ';tears'; streak down my face.Darn...How often do you get hand cream in your eye?
I'd say...daily. I'm not smart enough to keep my hands off my eyes, unfortunately. But I have found a hand cream that burns slightly less, and makes my nails shiny, not dull. I'll send you the details if you'd like. Night night, doll.
    Hardly ever lol :]

But when I do it hurts...And I go ';AHH MY EYE'; and run around in circles

Is the alcohol in antibacterial hand creams absorbed into the bloodstream?

I know it won't get you drunk by rubbing your hands with Cuticura and the likes, but I'm curious if intensive use could have a potentially negative impact on a fetus when pregnant (especially during first trimester). Please provide a reliable link if possible. Is the alcohol in antibacterial hand creams absorbed into the bloodstream?
No. Epithelium tissue is thick enoughIs the alcohol in antibacterial hand creams absorbed into the bloodstream?
in order for medications to work it does hit infected areas, as far as the blood stream it will have to get in the blood stream by open wounds or shots.
No, the alcohol in antibacterial anything is in there to kill bacteria, then evaporate. Even if what's left on your skin soaked in, the alcohol is gone.
    NO
Yes! It's been proven. Did you hear about those little kids at the daycare? They used Germ-X accesively, and literally were getting drunk! It was on the news,I was shocked. I'm not making this up-I'm 100% serious. There are very high amounts of alchohol in those things.
The only way it can be absorbed in the bloodstreem is if u have a cut, but even then it will be very minimal.

  • Can you cream butter and sugar (e.g. frosting) without a machine? Any tips for doing this by hand?

Recipes for frosting often call for creaming butter and sugar with a food processor or hand mixer, because I do not have these items, let alone any small appliances, I need to do this by hand, but cannot find any suggestions for this. Can you cream butter and sugar (e.g. frosting) without a machine? Any tips for doing this by hand?
The best way that I have found is to use a large fork and a lot of mixing. You use the fork like you are mashing the butter, it works, I do it all the time. Can you cream butter and sugar (e.g. frosting) without a machine? Any tips for doing this by hand?
Of course you can, it just takes longer - start with a spoon to get everything mixed - then switch to a whick and beat the hell out of it. Your arm will get tired! But this is just the way they did it in the old days.

It does help if your butter is at room temperature before you start.
The best way is warm your bowl first by standing it in hot water ,I put mine in the washing up bowl , add your butter to your mixing bowl while still in the hot water , this softens the butter, then add sugar , take mixing bowl out stand on a tea towel and whisk away
    Easy to do by hand.

In large bowl, use 1/2 cube amounts of totally softened butter, and about 3/4 lb powdered sugar.

Mix together slowly at first until the sugar is moistened with the butter, then add 1 tsp vanilla (or other flavoring, and food color), stir this in.

Finally add milk or water, drop by drop and stir until you reach the right consistency. If you put too much liquid, add some of the remaining powdered sugar in the box. The trick is to use softened butter....but NOT melted butter. So let the butter sit out on the counter for a while, or a few seconds in the microwave at most.
Yes, it's easy to mix by hand, just make sure the butter is soft first. Take it out of the refridgerator and leave it out for a few hours.
yes.by cut and fold method which is also used in the preparation of cakes.
I think U B Happy said it best, that's how I do it. I always use a sturdy, narrow-tined fork, the rosewood handled one my mom gave me.
sure you can. They did it before mixers were around. In a stainless bowl let butter sit until room temp add your sugan and mix vigurously with a rubber scraper until it is thuroughly combined and creamy.
First soften the butter, cut it into pieces so that it thaws quickly, and then cream with sugar in a bowl using the whisker.
just use the wooden mixing spoon and do the cut and fold technique

Could be eczema. Emu oil recommended by site below. Cetaphil is good as is any good oil (extra virgin olive oil) or just Vaseline. What's the best hand cream for hands that get cuts on them from being so dry?
Eucerin. It's excellent. I use it especially in the winter (I live in Alaska.)
Mary Kay's Extra Emolient Night Cream. It's really thick stuff. Put it on at night with gloves. You'll be amazed!
cocoa butter or udderly smooth really works well
I use Neutrogena hand cream all the time..I use just a dab at bedtime because it is very thick and greasy, then I wear thin gloves and my hands are super soft in the morning. I don't need to wear anything during the day. I am a nurse so I am constantly washing my hands and this is the only thing I have used that was of any benefit to me
Bag Balm IS awesome! Also Nivea, Eucerin, and other thick, oily-type creams are good for REALLY dry skin.
    Neutrogena hand cream.

can also apply a thick layer of it b4 u wear a cotton gloves to sleep at night. u will love ur hands the next morning..its soft n just niceeeee....
There is something called O'Keffe's Working Hands. My grandpa uses it for his hands - he works on a farm. It is supposed to heal cracked hands.

It works great for him. It comes in a very bright green container. Hope I helped.
I use bag balm. Rub it in at night and put on cotton gloves. Hand cream with shea butter works well, also.
Petroleum jelly. Try also Badger healing balm.
vasaline intensive care hand lotion is great (and it hardens your nails too) it absorbs really well and isnt greasy (I sound like an advert!!)

Also if you are doing work that makes your hands dry, garnier hand cocoon is good too if you put it on before you start to work.

    Hope this helps!
Moisturizing lotion is what you are going to need for those hands. Try Body Drench Hemp Moisturizing Lotion. It also comes in scents. Or Creme de Peche, Hydrating Body Emulsion, Undercover Angel Moisturizer, Aloe Vera Exotic Moisturizer. Hope these help your little hands

Can someone tell me what i could use for really dry skin on my hand's i have tried E45 and hand cream but it's?

Try Palmer's Cocoa Butter either the cream or the paste. You can even get in at the dollar store (if you have one near you) And it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. A lot of companies say their product works, but it doesn't. Just as long as your not allergic to cocoa butter you should be fine. Just remember use Palmer's. There are a lot of different brands out there, but Palmer's is the best. It works on all dry skin area's Even on your elbows and the dry skin on your legs and every where you have dry skin. I used to use it (the paste) on my legs at night I would cake it on and put on a pair of sweat pants. When I took a shower the next morning you could see the dead skin cells in the tub.Can someone tell me what i could use for really dry skin on my hand's i have tried E45 and hand cream but it's?
I would try to exfoliate them (sugar is a cheap exfoliater) and then find a think creamy lotion (I use Vaseline healthy hand and nail conditioning hand lotion with keratin and vitamin e) or just use plain vaseline. Put on gloves (at night before you go to bed) and let that soak into your hands. Can someone tell me what i could use for really dry skin on my hand's i have tried E45 and hand cream but it's?
Try Lubiderm for extremely dry skin. If that doesn't help... go online and look for Bag Balm... yes that is the name of it. Bag Balm. It was ORIGINALLY invented for farmers to use on their cow's udders and bag when they cracked. It doesn't smell the best, but it is amazing! Good luck.
Try aquaphor cream for cracked skin. My hubby uses it and it is very intensive and healing. You can find it at drugstores.
i have the same promble with dry cracked skin i lone goldbond ultimate fealing lotion it's afordable and it works
Try Burts Bees hand salve. It works really good, all the Burts Bees products do.
    try Neutrogena hand cream
    Vaseline.

There's already lotion and whats the hand cream for?

I think hand cream tends to be a little thicker and packs a more moisturizing punch than regular old lotion. Your hands are exposed to more factors which could dry or damage the skin, so you would need more moisture there than elsewhere on your body. There's already lotion and whats the hand cream for?

How do you make homemade whipped cream with milk or powdered milk and a electric hand beater!!!?

    ALL STEPS AND DETAILS PLEASE

OR OTHER FACTS I NEED TO KNOW

I NEED TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE IT WITH MILK IF POSSIBLEHow do you make homemade whipped cream with milk or powdered milk and a electric hand beater!!!?
    What you Need:

    Mixing bowl (stainless)

    Electric beaters or Whisk

    Heavy or Lite cream

    Vanilla or flavoring extracts

Put beater or whisk and bowl in freezer for 10 minutes

After removing bowl add 1 c of heavy or lite cream, add 1 tsp of flavoring extracts;start mixing slowly to avoid splashing,as it thickens increase speed,as it gets foamier start checking for soft peak(which you want);peak should bend over at top when you remove beater or whisk and then refrigerate. How do you make homemade whipped cream with milk or powdered milk and a electric hand beater!!!?
    use heavy cream

    milk sucks
Sad to say however much you whip the ordinary milk with milk powder all you get will be froth. There is a way to make mock-cream but I haven't time to check it out right now
you have to make it with cream. Thats why its called whipped cream. Milk does not have enough butterfat to whip into cream. You can make it with heavy cream, by simply whipping it in a blender or food processor. You will be wasting your time trying to whip milk.
You won't really get whipped cream with milk. But I can get you close, but it needs to keep cold until time to serve, Get some skim milk get it very cold (freezer) But not frozen pour it into a class with about 3tsp sugar use a high speed mixer And whip it into a froth. It will thicken like a shake... You're best bet is just to buy some heavy cream and whip that. If you whip it long enough you get butter

Burts Bee's Hand Repair smells strong, but good. It works wonders. (Its not the almond burt bees- that stuff does stink)

So does Neutrogena Norweigen Formula, but it kind of oily, and a little goes a looong way.

L'Occitane hand creams also work very well, though are a little watery.

I have the same problem. I have extremely dry hand, even in the summer. I've listed them by my favorite. Burt Bee's works really really really really well! It is hard to find but it is the best I have found.

    Try duluth trading co..
I've tried everything, but Aveeno Intense Relief Overnight Cream really works, and it's not greasy.
Corn Husker lotion or Vaseline (Brand) cocoa gel in the shower will soften your hands dramatically - (never use pure vaseline as it's harmful for your skin it's pure petroleum)

Also Norwegian hand cream is good and suggested by top skin doctors.
NIVEA!! or baby lotion. its makes your hands feel soo smooth!
I have dry skin also. Love Aveeno and Huggies baby lotion in the pump.Mary Kay satin hand treatment is great too.
Eucerin and Curel are both very good.
Use ';Corn Huskers Lotion'; and you'll see and feel your hands literally absorb the lotion and love you for it. It has a lemony scent and is WONDERFUL in softening and moisturizing your skin. I also use it on my forehead after a shower. It's great!! God Bless you.
    neurtogena hand cream try it
eucerin, nivea, curel are very good but they are not better than Vaseline.

    Vaseline is it.
try anything with coco butter in it

works reallly gud cuz i also have really ddryied hands and it went away once i used coco butter
    Vasaline-oh yeah
Kiehl's Ultimate Strength Hand Salve. I work in a cafe, wash dishes alllllll day, and never leave home without this lotion.

It's pricey, but worth it in my opinion.
i use uremol 20 excellent for cracked skin in winter
aquaphor, i have the same problem. I have like 3 different kinds of hand cream.
Eucerin is an excellent moisturizer. At night, wash your hands in luke warm water, pat them dry, apply Eucerin, and put on a pair of cotton gloves or socks. It will work like a compress. You can take it off in 30 min or keep them on overnight.
Norwegian Hand Cream by Neutrogena is good if your hands get cracked. But it takes just the smallest dab. Also, something that is really good is a bee wax cream that you can just buy from honey farmers at the Indiana State Fair. In fact, that is the best (unscented) hand cream I've ever used. It isn't too greasy, it heals skin and soothes it almost immediately. So try to find something like that. I bought some Almond Burt's Bees stuff-don't make that mistake.

In the winter, my hands would crack from the weather. So those are the best for heavy duty healing.
satin hands from mary kay. it works really well.

Try Drapoline - it might sound like an odd recommendation but it works brilliantly on my hands. It is fully absorbed and it is mildly anti-septic too - ideal for sore hands. Unlike E45 and other hands creams that claim to be non greasy but leave your hands still all slippery, Drapoline is fully absorbed into the hands. I use it occasionally. Why pay for expensive and greasy hand creams when Drapoline is available. It also leaves my hands feeling nice.
Elizabeth Arden 8 hour hand cream - feels amazing on and is supposed to last even after a few hand washes! Go into any department store that stock it and you can try it for free and you'll never need to ask this question again! :o)
ELAVE. I've tried everything else, including E45, which is supposed to be the best, and Elave is defo the best.

Once a week I also melt a bit of cocobutter in my hands for a deep moisturing- then i rub it in my hair instead of a hot oil treament! Two birds with one stone....
Plaster vaseline on with cotton gloves worn on top overnight while you sleep, it will soak in and job done.

I had to do this after my last placement on a hospital ward - washing my hands a thousand times a day and i started to get a reaction so i know this works.
I use E45 on my eczema. It stops it getting worse but doesn't seem to really make it any better. I use it twice a day, sometimes more, I am going to try that stuff the other person with eczema mentioned.
    Neutrogena Norwegian Hand Cream

So that it wouldn't melt or lose it's puffiness. Why do you have to chill the bowl first when making whipped cream by hand?
Because if the bowl is to warm the cream will not whip it will stay like milk it will not get fluffy..
You don't have too if its not real warm in your kitchen, but it will take longer for the cream to whip...best to have really cold cream, bowl and beaters to have it whip quickly...I don't know the absolute science behind it, but I know its true.....get an electric mixer to whip it, using a wire whisk serves the purpose, but you need good arm strength and stamina!!!

Also, you can go to any Bath and Body Works store and try these products for free. Hope this helps and you find some releif.

    never
At least twice - the most recent time being this morning
i havent used hand cream on my face but, i can tell ya....Ponds is no picnic when you get it in your eyes.
I didn't know Canada had hand cream....

    I'm usually the creamer...

So...zero would be my answer to your question.
I haven't gotten hand cream in my eyes yet
I stay careful so, rarely. By the way, I thought of saying this to you before but your nickname is kinda cool.
Zero. I aim a little lower these days so that I won't get you in the eye either.
    Thats...what she said?
ahh, leave your glasses on when near hand cream from now on.
I know hand cream is a code for boy cream. Sadly, none.
Are we calling it ';hand cream'; now? LOL.

Hey, I have the same problem and I use Glysomed. You can get it anywhere (Shooper's Drugmart, Costco, Online) and it's meduim expensive. About 10 dollars for a bottle but you only need a bit

    It looks like this:

Hope that helped! What's a really good hand cream?
Try glysomed. It's in a green container usually with a hand on it. It's really good.
    AVEENO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!鈥?br>

    also neutrogena

    BUT AVEEENO IS TOO GOOD
Aveeno for dry hands, it works amazingly.
    I love Burt's Bee's hand repair creme.
avenno or go 2 bath and body theres is great and it smells great
hemp but smell it b4 u buy it some of them stink

Who can recommend a good hand cream?

No aqueous please. Should be quite thick/heavy-dutyWho can recommend a good hand cream?
Eucerin intensive repair hand creamWho can recommend a good hand cream?
Molton Brown do a very good range, a bit pricey but well worth it.
Neutrogena has never let me down.
garnier hand cocoon around 拢4 is excellent and so is the foot cocoon
Neutrogena is very heavy duty, it's heavy and gluggy (hope you know what I mean by that), however, I found that it rubs off easily onto clothing, bed sheets and loses it's effect. There is a NIVEA hand cream called SOS and I have found that whilst a bit lighter, it really does work and my hands felt softer much more quickly with this one.
Hemp - from the body shop. Thick and excellent for very dry skin. You can get tubes for hand cream or tubs for body or feet. It's excellent, I use it and it really helps.
Hi i use Loccitane it is very good my son uses it after working on the market in the cold you get it from qvc it has a high shea butter content
depends whether your a guy or girl if your a girl i know suave has some really good lotions not so sure about hand cream. If your a guy i cant really help because i like the smelly stuff!
Neutrogena do a good one, the Norwegian Formula one, (before they used to put on the packaing it's used by fishermen).

Green People also do a hand cream, Help at Hand, which is a rich, non-greasy cream that provides a light barrier against moisture loss and smells beautifully of Rose Geranium and Lavender. (from Health shops)
go to your local collage and go up to the beauty room and ask them for dermological cream
Second the Eucerin, get it at Costco, much cheaper there. If price is no object, L'Occitane has a great handcream - their Shea Butter one. It's soooo nice!!!
I know its not a hand cream, more a body lotion, but the best cream i have found(and believe me i have tried many)to work best for dry skin is lavender bedtime baby lotion. It starts working really fast and makes your skin feel amazing. If it doesn't work straight away then keep on using for a while and you will see the effects are really worth the wait.Normal baby lotion by Johnson's isn't the same though it has to be Johnson's lavender bedtime baby lotion.Try it out and I'm sure you will see a difference soon.
none of the above VASELINE INTENSIVE CARE ESSENTIAL MOISTURE OR NIVEA NOURISHING CREAM i use both and yes they do work
I use Cutex hand and nail emergency treatment 8 hour rescue, its the only 1 that works for me its brilliant, you can get it from any chemist, Boots or Superdrug only a couple of quid too.
neutrogena is great.alternatively, good old Vaseline applied thickly before sleep and cover with a pair of cotton gloves which can be bought at chemists.try it you'll be amazed!!!!!!!!!!!!!
astral.. it comes in a blue tub and you can get it from most supermarkets or chemists... I know it is good for mens hands becauese my dad is an engineer, and is always covered in cuts, and has rough ';sandpaper'; hands.

To really soften them up, put on a generous amount and then put on a pair of gloves.. this will let the cream soak in, try doing this overnight.. in the morning, your hands will be softer than ever... do this once a week or so, and youl notice the difference!!!
Burt's bees do a few.. the farmers friend one is good for very dry chapped hands. Napier's calendula cream is nice too. Dr Hauschka's rose cream is lovely.. it's a very rich face cream but perfect on hands and smells lovely. My favourite is avocado moisture cream by simply skincare.. it's so nourishing and smells gorgeous too!
    mud
    atrixo hand cream is good
Neutrogena, Norwegian Formula available from chemists 拢3-拢4. Very Good stuff.
I do a lot in the workshop and have a dry sensitive skin for a man. I have tried lots, but recently have used Nivea Night Hand Renewal Cream and during the day their Intensive Balm. These have given the best results ever.
I'm a great fan of Lush products (http://www.lush.co.uk) and I use their Smitten hand cream for general use. They also do Helping Hands which is heavier duty.

Looking for a hand cream for damaged skin?

my mom's hands are damaged due to sun exposure, hot water..generally not being looked after that well.

i'm looking for a hand cream that could help that ,and make skin look youthful or something..?Looking for a hand cream for damaged skin?
My mom has very dry cracked hands, I'm not sure if this is your mom's issue as well as you just mentioned damaged. What I did for my mom was I got her a body scrub, cotton gloves, and Hemp Hand Protector from The Body Shop. Using a body scrub is fantastic way to prep hands for a cream and remove all the excessive dry and dead skin. The Body Shop's Hemp Hand Protector has to be one of the best hand creams around, it's water resistant and extremely hydrating. If you're able to pick that up and find some cotton gloves for her to wear to bed her hands should be looking better in no time.Looking for a hand cream for damaged skin?
Get her some cotton gloves. Most stores have them in the bath products section with the bath sponges and brushes.

Have her put any rich, healing cream on and then the gloves before bed. When my hands get really dry I just use plain shea butter. If you order some online make sure it's refined. the raw stuff smells awful. It's really greasy on it's own but it's perfect for under the cotton gloves. You can do a search on eBay and probably find scented shea butter even. I have some lavender shea butter that's really nice.

Second suggestion is to find one of the parafin baths for her next birthday or holiday gift. It looks like a crockpot and comes with scented wax. the wax melts and then you dip your hand in. It feels great and after the wax hardens you peel it off and have wonderfully soft skin. Years ago you had to go to a spa to get it done but then about 8 years ago all the discount stores started selling them. I haven't noticed them as much lately but I'm sure they're still around . It would make a great gift. In fact I looked up one so you can see what it is. I've seen them cheaper or more expensive than this, they come in all price ranges.
