I am 27 years old, and want something for my age to ward off any future wrinkles and lines. Any eddefctive/trustworthy brands?I am looking for an effective anti-ageing face and hand cream with retinol and vitamin C serum.?
I don't like to use retinol products on my hands because I worry about retinol making my skin more vulnerable to sun damage. I'm not that diligent about applying SPF to my hands.
The tricky thing about vitamin C serums is that vitamin C degrades quickly. Stable products w/ high concentration vitamin C I've heard of carry a hefty price tag.
However, I can tell you about a couple of websites I use to research products: http://cosmeticscop.com/ %26amp; http://www.makeupalley.com/
The first site has an ingredient dictionary, product reviews %26amp; general information about skin care products, etc.
The second site is a free members only site for consumer to consumer reviews of all sorts of beauty products. I really like it %26amp; have been a member for about 3 years.I am looking for an effective anti-ageing face and hand cream with retinol and vitamin C serum.?
the body shop has really nice and affordable products:)

What make of hand cream would you recommend?
Whichever you choose, however cheap or expensive, it will be the bees knees as long as is contains GLYCERINE.
Believe it or not, Avon's is one of the best you can buy. But any cosmetics/toiletries shop will stock hand creams with glycerine in - just check the label :)What make of hand cream would you recommend?
Agree with other answer re bodyshop hemp, but also the nordic one they advertise on the tv is good - can't remember the name! But know when I used it in the past you only need a very little and it really does work on chapped hands! What make of hand cream would you recommend?
Cuticura or Vaseline.
Cuticura is best for budget and moisturises well.
Vaseline is a bit more expensive but worth it- smells lovely and locks in moisture.
bit of vaseline won't do you any harm, or try Johnsons Baby oil or Johnsons cream or something.
Girls usualy get this kind of thing from Boots.
depending on how dry your hands get, i personally use E12 its not perfumed and its not greasy either and keeps your hands soft
Aveeno Daily Moisturizer
helps dry, cracking skin and maintains soft hands
any olay cream or E45
hand hemp cream from the body shop!!! its fantastic!
i dont use any

Could anyone recommend a good hand cream for my mum's very dry hands?
she has used vaseline hand cream but is not happy and says that is not rich enough for her very dry skin!Could anyone recommend a good hand cream for my mum's very dry hands?
Try a cream that has a high Vitamin E content.Could anyone recommend a good hand cream for my mum's very dry hands?
I swear by Neutrogena swiss formula hand cream, works wonders when my hands are very dry and cracked. I've just had a tattoo two days ago and they recommended Bepanthen nappy rash cream for that. Its got Pro vitamin B5 which its says gently aids the natural recovery of irritated sensitive skin. It seals in the skins natural moisture for gentle recovery. its forms a long lasting transparent layer and has no colours, fragrence, preservatives or antiseptics.
olay regenerist hand cream is really rich and good,i wont use anything else now.tell her to buy some cotton moisturising gloves and apply the cream before bedtime(leave gloves on overnight) and any other times she has 15 minutes to spare to do the same,it will really help her heaps.
I have eczema on my hands and I find that vaseline intensive care one very good, and it improves what nails I have....
Failing that, E45 cream or I was prescribed something called Doublebase by my doctor but I prefer the vaseline.
Neutrogena Norwegian Formula Hand Creme is the best I've had when my hands are really dry.
People swear by it....
But then people have been raving about Baby Bum Cream from Waitrose for their faces too....
All of the crabtree %26amp; evelyn hand creams are very rich, I think the gardeners kind is the strongest
my mum has very dry skin on her legs and hands she uses this cream called coconut butter cream or something like tha its really good all my friends use it now
you can't beat niver its the best.x
Has she tried E45 cream. That is supposed to be a good moisturising cream.
try a more natural way...mix oat with honey and a squeeze of lemon...rub them on hands then put hands in cotton gloves for 20 minutes...rinse with warm water..can be done daily
tell your mam to try Glymiel hand gel its non greasy really good for dry hands

If i get a handjob how can i tell the girl i need lube or hand cream or something because icant do it dry?
i cant get a handjob dry so if im about to get one i cant randomly be like oh yeah i need to go get cream.. how can i handle this?If i get a handjob how can i tell the girl i need lube or hand cream or something because icant do it dry?
LMAO, a girl has your private parts in her hand, and you're scared of speaking up and asking for a little lube?!?!?!?
Come on dude, all you have to do is mention it! She's highly unlikely to refuse you, especially if you already have it nearby and ready for quick useIf i get a handjob how can i tell the girl i need lube or hand cream or something because icant do it dry?
you just need to tell her. It is as simple as that. Don't use anything with perfumes in it though because it can irritate your sensitive skin there. use vaseline or KY jelly. There is nothing to be embarrased about if you need some lube just tell her and go get some or keep some handy near where you think the action will go down. best wishes
Have the cream on you and then start making out with her to put her more in the mood and then grab her hands and put some in her hand and put her hand on your penis. This makes her want to give you a hand job even more!
I'd hope most girls know that....
If you know shes about to, whispher in her ear something like ';I'll enjoy it more with lube etc';
Or keep it around you (lets say in the bedroom) so when she starts reach out for it and hand it to her
I think if you're close enough with the girl to get a handjob, you should be able to suggest cream.
Or just put cream in your hand before she comes over and shake hers when she walks in.
whats wrong with getting it 'dry'?
do things the natural way
and why are your balls dry in the first place?
what, do you like have a fan down there or something?
If you think you are going to randomly get a hand job at any moment and you're worried about it, you could carry some lube in your pocket.
if you can tell us, you can tell her.
Saliva - Best answer b/c its always handy
I'm pretty sure she will figure that out as she attempts it. Saliva works just fine.
get what you want and offer it to her
just tell her hey, i dont like it dry.
do u mind if u use cream.
problem solved.
what's the problem? WHY cant you just say ';i need some lube'; ??
or just tell her to spit on it.
have the lube ready
tell her to blow you instead.
first of all why cant you get one without lube?
uhm its not that bad without lotion
just tell her..it will feel really great if you....
put it on yourself...I don't see what will be the problem if you tell her you need it.
She's probably doing it wrong, get a new girlfriend who isnt a complete idiot and knows her way around a dick. I know it's a bad idea but date the school ';whore'; she knows her way around a dick. But make shure you get her off the drugs. She'll overdose and die in a few years.

How to whip heavy cream by hand?
Hi, I'm making a pie right now, and I bought heavy whipping cream and sugar to mix together for topping. I don't have an electric mixer, and I've been beating it with a wire whisk by hand for 10 minutes now and it's not fluffing up. Can I do it this way?How to whip heavy cream by hand?
Yes, you should be able to do this. You need to do this fast enough to capture air in the whipped cream. It does take some time, but 10 minutes should be enough.
AstrobufHow to whip heavy cream by hand?
Is it labeled whipping cream? If you have 'ultra pasteurized' cream, stop trying.
If not, put a big bowl of ice on the counter. Place your mixing bowl with the cream inside the ice. Beat with a good whisk. It won't take anywhere near 10 minutes. More like 3 or 4 minutes.
it takes a while but you can.. it would be easier if you stopped, put it in the fridge and went out and bought a hand mixer or an electric mixer
yes and your arm will be nice and sore. Be careful not to over beat or it will collapse and you will never get the peaks back
Cold cream and a cold bowl with a wisk and lots of elbow grese!

I have tried countless face creams and Oil of Olay's Night Time Anti-Wrinkle cream is hands down the best I've ever used.

As far as hand cream I really like St. Ives...it seems to actually do what it's supposed to do and keeps my hands moisturized better than the others.
The best cheap hand cream I've ever used is Johnson and Johnson's hand cream. What moisturizer/hand cream would you recommend?
Something that can keep away the infectious diseases of Socialism.
Curel

What is the most efficient way to hand make ice cream?
like, in big batches. In school we made ice cream in ziploc bags, but thats not big enough, and electric ice cream makers are like thousands of dollars. And just out of curiosity, does anyone know how ice cream men make it, do they purchace those super expensive machines too? What is the most efficient way to hand make ice cream?
You can purchase ice cream makers from just about any department store. They range in size, the biggest is a 4 quart -- and the electric type will cost about $30, but the hand crank type will cost about $200.
Companies that mass produce ice cream have a series of machines, and yes they cost 100's of thousands of dollars.
For in the home, you could produce anywhere from 12 - 15 gallons of ice cream in one day -- a single batch in a 4 quart maker only takes 45 minutes to process. And if you had more than one, the amount would increase. What is the most efficient way to hand make ice cream?
you can buy an electric ice cream maker for 50 bux at target and if you want to get really extravagant, get the kitchenaid or craftmatic mixer with the ice cream attachment. it'll cost you around $200-$400 but, it cna be totally worth iterythema

What hand cream is good for dry hands?
Vaseline cocoa butter. Amazing, magical stuff. My hands get dry to the point of flaking at work, but a slather of the cocoa butter makes them velvety smooth! What hand cream is good for dry hands?
Spunk!!What hand cream is good for dry hands?
Olay quench works the best for me.
Aveeno. Made of natural ingredients (like oatmeal). Probably the best there is without a prescription.
My family doctor recommended a dry skin creme for my hands which is ';equate,'; a Walmart brand, which comes in a white jar-16 oz., and just says, ';Dry Skin Cream.'; Or you can buy the equivalent, called ';Eucerin.'; I am 53 y.o., and works great for me. Give it a try.
Aveda handcream, does mirracles
norweigan formula is really good , although it smells a bit funny. and lush have a great one called helping hands, but that smells even worse, so u should just use it at home before u go to bed. also, if u have reaaaaly dry hands and you want to get them soft quick, slather on the moisturiser before u sleep, and wear gloves to seal in the moisture, it works wonders. ur probably gonna feel silly wearing them, but u can use the socks that come with scholl's dry feet treatment. they're wonderful, and u can also use the cream that comes with them for ur hands, its really thick.
Regular Jergins Lotion. It has been around since before Time began and it is still the best. When I chop and split firewood, it is the only hand lotion that can actually heal my hands overnight. The rest of the stuff on the market is too water-based, and washes almost completely off the first time you wash your hands. Good Luck, now, on finding the hand lotion for your dry hands that you like as much as I like the one I just mentioned. Best to you always, Chris!
norwegian formula. you can get it from tesco! it is brill!! i got it and it works great!!
go to outrageousalice.com. the BEST
I love the Mary Kay handcream, and in particular, the manicure set. It comes with a deep hydrating mask for the hands you can wear overnight with gloves, followed by a scrub, followed by a soap to wash those products off with, and finally the hand cream. Or you can use the cream seperately. Hands feel like butter!

Nivea Age Defying Q10 Plus, 'does exactly what it says on the tin';! Sainsbury's/Boots for 拢2.99, I was sceptical that something at this price would work but saw it reviewed as 9/10 in a magazine. I had uncomfortably dry hands and initially had to use it about 4 times a day, after a week I now only need to use it once a day. Highly recommended!

* Dead Sea products
OR
* Ahava
They are both good, if you ever go to Israel (beautiful place) go to the Dead Sea. Lots of people go there for arthiritus, to make their skin softer etc..Its a lovely place. Lots of celebrities use it. Only they can't fit it in your dressing room!
cocoa butter ..i swear by it as it is a natural substance
I love the Neutrogena Norwegian formula hand cream...
With nursing I wash my hands all day, and they can get really dry. This works wonders for me and gives me really soft smooth skin. Just a lil bit works so a lil bottle fits in my pocket and lasts a long time.
Hope it helps!
Eucerin
This may sound a little crazy but...
I use Crayola Erasable Markers. I mark a bit on and then erase. It makes my skin feel like a baby's bottom.^^
Waring: DO NOT try other parts of your body.
Neutrogena is the best.
st.ive's hand cream.
it moistures quickly and keeps your hands soft.
I strongly recommend Eucerin. It is a heavy conditioning cream you leave on overnight. I am extremely hard on my hands, and they have to be kept in the best of conditions. This stuff is wonderful, and it leaves my hands feeling like a million dollars.
i have found that any shea butter lotion or baby lotion works best
well it's not exactly just hand lotion but it's body lotion and it's escpecially made for damaged, sensitive and dry skin

How do i make whipped cream by hand using regular whipping cream?
not using heavy cream... but regular whipping cream... can i do that by hand? how long will it take. is it even possible??How do i make whipped cream by hand using regular whipping cream?
It's possible but you're going to be there for awhile.
Get a metal bowl and a metal wisk, and put both of these into the fridge.
When they're cold, pour your cream into the bowl and get to wiskin'.
Oh, and what exactly do you mean by ';regular whipping cream';? I've never heard of this... There's heavy whipping cream and light whipping cream.
If you're serious about this, they have hand-held electric mixers at Wal-Mart for $5, no joke. That's what I use. Less elbow grease.
Be careful those, once you start using machines, a stiff whipped cream with turn into butter in about 2 seconds. How do i make whipped cream by hand using regular whipping cream?
Whisk until it peaks, buy hand works but don't quit. It is well worth the work. I was told by a patient of mine during my home health days( she was a cook for governors and such) to make hers with confectionery sugar. It does not break down as fast. I have used this trick for years now. Good luck with your shoulders and muscles you'll discover you didn't know you had
Put the cream in a bowl, add a little sugar, and a little vanilla, and pull out the electric beater. I whip it using an electric beater or my Kitchen Aid. It does not take that long.
You will need an old fashioned egg beater rather than a whisk. Roll up your sleeves.
It's possible but you're going to be there for awhile.
Get a metal bowl and a metal wisk, and put both of these into the fridge.
When they're cold, pour your cream into the bowl and get to wiskin'.

Can any one recommend a really intensive hand cream?
my dad is going through chemo therapy at the moment and his hands are really cracked, dry and very sore. The creams the doctors have prescribed haven't worked and I want to try something else.
Thanks for your helpCan any one recommend a really intensive hand cream?
Arbonne has great hand creams!! You need to make sure there is no mineral oil in the lotion!!! I personal love the foot cream for hand cream. I had one of the guys I work with use and with one day it helped! Can any one recommend a really intensive hand cream?
I've been using Vaseline Intensive Care Cocoa Butter Hand and Body lotion and it is fantastic. I also have trouble with cracked dry hands and this does help.
To really help, try having him slather it on super thick just before bed and cover his hands with white socks to protect the bedding. Then several times a day, reapply normally. Within a few days he should feel relief.
My mum had the same thing. I tried all the alternative stuff (useless) then I bought some Eumovate cream over the counter. I massaged it into my mother's really dry and sore areas (she was also having chemotherapy) and it worked a treat. She has since died, but I use it for psoriasis and it is very good for that. God bless your dad, and God bless my mother.
take one egg, place in liquidizer with half a pint of milk, vanilla essence, half a pack of lard, 2 tablespoons of goosefat liquidize then place in pan.. be carefull of shells.. bring to boil gently leave in fridge for 24 hours.. this will give the best results.. also good for a hair conditioner.. its an ancient recipe that my great grandmother used to use!
I used unscented Neutrogena, seemed to work for me.erythema

How do you make ice cream with hand crank maker?
I got a hand crank Ice Cream Maker for my anniversary. I would love to make home made ice cream and need a recipe. What I'm supposed to do with this recipe would be good too. I've never made home made ice cream and would love to try it.How do you make ice cream with hand crank maker?
Homemade Ice Cream Vanilla Ice Cream Recipe
Here are two different kinds of recipe for Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream. The first is made with a custard base (eggs and cream) and the second is a 'quick' recipe ideal for kids!
Custard base recipe
Ingredients:
4 egg yolks, 1/2 pint (250ml) milk, 1/2 pint (250ml) double/heavy cream, 4 oz (100g) sugar or caster sugar, 2 teaspoons vanilla extract (or according to taste - everyone's different!)
First of all scald the milk (bring slowly up to boiling point in a saucepan). Separately, mix together the egg yolks and sugar until thick. Pour into this the hot milk, whilst continuously stirring. Then pour the mixture back into the pan and heat gently, stirring until the custard thickens - DO NOT BRING TO THE BOIL OR IT WILL PROBABLY CURDLE. When you can see a film form over the back of your spoon it's time to remove the saucepan from the heat. Leave to cool. This is the custard base and one you can use in many other recipes. When the custard base is cold, stir in the cream and vanilla extract, then transfer the whole mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream recipe for kids (or anyone wanting something quick and delicious!)
Ingredients:
1/2 pint (250ml) single/light cream, small tin of condensed milk, 1-2 teaspoons vanilla extract (according to taste) Pour all ingredients into a mixing bowl and mix until smooth. Transfer the whole mixture into an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions. How do you make ice cream with hand crank maker?
Ice and rock salt and a mixer.
LOTS of cranking..
You forgot to read the instruction book that came with your churn. HA HA
any good ';GOOD'; cookbook.
white mountain has instructions and a few recipes that you can try out..
I have a hand crank with no instructions on how to use so put in search for '; ice cream maker hand crank '; and came up with many sites on how to use and many recipes, all you need to do is look at these sites and many will have all you need but the White mountain one was the best one I came across...good luck..T

What ingredient in hand cream makes it white in color?
All creams are basically emulsions. So they will appear naturally whitish if all the major ingredients are colorless or white, unless some coloring agents are added. Also, zinc or titanium oxides are used as white pigments, they act as sunscreens too. What ingredient in hand cream makes it white in color?
dyeWhat ingredient in hand cream makes it white in color?
Its all the ingredients together :P
Errr.... Lemon? or something with similar pH level as that? You need a chemist to tell u that..
why does colored soap always turn white when you bath?
That's just the colouring.

What's the best hand cream to use - for dry hands? the sides of my fingers are cracking a little.?
I like to put Vaseline on my hands before bed. Put the Vaseline on really thick and then put cotton socks (not gloves...it does not produce enough body heat) over your hands. By morning your hands will be super soft and smooth. Until you can do this, try putting Neosporin on the cracks. It heals faster than lotion. What's the best hand cream to use - for dry hands? the sides of my fingers are cracking a little.?

Avoid inexpensive lotions and liquid soaps that contain a lot of alcohol. All that alcohol will dry your skin out even more. I have eczema and every winter I have the same problem. I find that Neutrogena Norwegian Formula hand cream works best.
I like Hempz hand lotion from The Body Shop bc it works and is not greasy, not fruity smeling, and absorbs fast. I also like Eucerin or petroleum jelly by vaseline or equate
TRY TO USE ANY COLD CREAM. IT WILL HAVE A WONDERFULL EFFECT ON YOUR SKIN SPECIALLY WHERE THERE IS A CRACK.
THERE IS ONE MORE HOME MADE REMEDY AND I HAVE USED IT VERY EFFECTIVE. TAKE THE GLACRINE AND MIX IT WITH ROSE WATER AND APPLY ON YOUR SKIN.YOU WILL FEEL THE DIFFERENCE IN FEW DAYS.
Udder cream. You can find it at drug stores. Good stuff. It puts moisture back in your hands.
I had the same problem
any almond oil hand cream will work wonders
(I especially like the one from the Body Shop)
Corn huskers lotion.
I only use one Mary Kay product simply because it is the best I've ever found for hands, cuticles and feet. Called ';Extra Emollient Night Cream.';
Vaseline Intensive Care with Petroleum Jelly---wal-mart sells hand lotion with petroleum jelly under its ';Equate'; brand. Both of them come in fat tubes like toothpaste.
Same thing used to happen to me in winter, but it isn't so bad anymore as I keep my hands out of the cold water and use Germex to wash my hands when I need to.
vitamin E oil is the trick for repairing the skin. it relieves the pain from the cracks too...
you can find this wherever they sell vitamin E tablets, which is everywhere...

What's the very best hand lotion/cream for someone who must wash their hands often?
I have some family members who work as nurses and waitress. The demands of hand sanitizers and washing hands really make their hands rough and dry. One has fingertips that actually crack open and bleed sometimes.
So, in your opinion, what is the VERY BEST OF THE BEST??
God bless you for your thoughtful, sincere responses for those people whose work it is to serve others. What's the very best hand lotion/cream for someone who must wash their hands often?
Nutrogena Norwegian FormulaWhat's the very best hand lotion/cream for someone who must wash their hands often?
I absolutely love the Aveeno lotions. They work wonders on my extremely dry skin.
Neutragena has an excellent, reasonably priced product line.
Bath and Body Works! They have this type of hand lotion that actually has hand sanitizer beads in it it moisturizes so well. It comes in all types of scents too! It works. Also cocoa butter. I also get dry hands at times, but not as severe as bleeding consult a doctor.
Any lotion or cream with glycerin as an ingredient tends to last longer and washes away less easily. glycerin is what tellers or people who handle large quantities of paper use to keep their skin from drying out.
I love Neutrogena too. The only minor drawback is that it takes a few minutes to absorb. Clarins makes a fabulous handcream. It's a bit pricey. It makes a great gift. I gave my brother some for Christmas, and now he's addicted to it!

Hey you guys know those israeli hand cream people at the mall?
they usually have attractive women working there, anyway i'm wondering who you guys target ugly guys because it's an easier sell or good looking guy cause you like good looking guys.
i personally try to avoid those kiosks because i find that method of sells to be quite rude.Hey you guys know those israeli hand cream people at the mall?
If you're careful to be polite but firm that you don't want to buy what they are showing you but will try out the sample, you could end up getting to try interesting products. On the back of the tub it should have a symbol that looks like this

Do you know a really good hand & nail cream/oil thats not too expensive. Anything else that might work?
I live in North UK and am 63 but, of course, look younger and want to stay that way but my nails are not so good, probably with so much gardening, etc.Do you know a really good hand %26amp; nail cream/oil thats not too expensive. Anything else that might work?
Hi!
I too live in the North of the UK (Lake District) and my job is gardening for other people, so I sympathise with you. I use a range of products as I find rotating them gives better results. I think your skin adjusts to a product which in turn, makes it work less efficiently. The products I use are Elemis Hand and Nail cream which is the most expensive one that I use but lasts a long time and is really brilliant. I also use Palmers Cocoa butter, aqueous cream, which can be obtained from any good chemists, and now and again for a treat, I use neat Lavender oil (which also keeps flies away when you're gardening!).
Try to remember to put cream on your hands each time you've washed or done dishes, etc., and also put it on before gardening (wear gloves if possible) as well as afterwards.
Hope this helps.Do you know a really good hand %26amp; nail cream/oil thats not too expensive. Anything else that might work?
moisture is the key to preserving the skin's natural smoothness.avoid using harsh soaps on washing your hands especially after gardening. you can use baby soaps or high moisture content soaps. Try Dove or Jhonson's baby soap.after wasing hands make it a habit to apply lotion. Every now and then apply lotion on hands. This would improve the condition of your nails and skin.avoid too much exposure to sunlight because it would make your skin dull and dry.

Can anyone recommend a really good hand lotion/cream for very dry skin?
The tips on my fingers are starting to crack a little! I need a really good lotion without alcohol or fragrance.
Thanks! Can anyone recommend a really good hand lotion/cream for very dry skin?
Try something with Shea butter or Cocoa butter.
Before going to bed, wash your hands carefully and put some cream and then vaseline on it. Wear gloves and go to bed. Your hands will be smoother in the morning. Can anyone recommend a really good hand lotion/cream for very dry skin?
Keri is my personal favorite. It has a touch of scent, but nothing too feminine or floral. There is also a gel-like ointment called Badger Balm, but it's not available everywhere (although I think you can order it online), and it kinda smells oily and is a bit greasy, but it really does work.
Aveeno works really well and doesn't have any of that stuff, I don't think :S
E45 is a good cream its very rich though so you only need a bit but it has no alcohol or perfume and it is good for slight eczema too.
It may sound like something only old people use... but Gold Bond Ultimate Healing Skin Therapy Lotion is what I use! I got this after my brother-in-law recommended it. He's a doctor and washes his hands SO MANY times a day they dry out. He said this was the only lotion he could find that kept his hands from drying out so much, his knuckles would split!!
Not too expensive, either... about $8 for a tube.
Go to The Body Shop found in most malls and get the Hemp stuff. It's fabulous. Or Kerosol(not sure of the spelling) but it is another great one.
mostly anything from bath %26amp; body works. Also you could buy a Dr Scholl's Wax Kit, you melt the wax and dip your hands. That helps heal cracked skin as well. Good Luck.

Mike is gonna die.... Mike is gonna die..... Naw you will be just fine. No biggy. I have done the same thing. Can you try the next time to not swallow your cream.
My sister's hands are very dry during the winter, what hand cream do you recommend?
You are a great guy thinking for your sister needs...and you shall refer he to a good brand like Natural Sea Beauty products.
Their hand cream will pamper her hands while protecting against dryness, to leave them feeling soft, supple and younger looking. Smoothens and softens your hands while it nourishes and protects the skin, leaving a protective coating which neutralizes the harmful effects of detergents and environmental elements.

coco butter or lotion with Vitim E Or Lotion With Aloe Vera In It And Do That B4 And After You Get Out The Shower Do That Everyday. My sister's hands are very dry during the winter, what hand cream do you recommend?
Olay Quench Hand
Works really good!
I suggest Dove.
this may sound weird but i go to the local feed store and get this stuff called udder butter. my hands get dry and crack and bleed. it works wonders. they also carry something similar at walmart but it is not as good to me so i go to the feed store. just ask the clerk at the store what could be used to treat chapped udders they will know what your talking about.
GOOD LUCK AND GOD BLESS!!!
I have the same problem with my skin and the only thing I found that the body butter works. But if she doesn't like that then the next thing I can say is for her to use any lotion that has pure aloe in it and that should help her dry skin.
If they're extremely dry and cracked, I would recommend something more repairing. I would slather my hands in something like vaseline or aquaphor, then put a pair of cotton gloves on over top and wear it overnight. Might not sound so great, but it definitely helps.
I would recommend after a good washing with soap and water before bed, applying vaseline--it traps in moisture and returns your hands to silky smooth. For a daily moisturizer I would say either Dove or St. Ives.
eucerin lotion or cream is best for dry skin.
i have rlly rllly dry hands in winter, and i use Glysomed and it works rly well XD but when you apply it at first its kinda oily -.- but it works soo well XD Good Luck
i use a tonic that healsm a salve that annoints....i USE A BRUSCILLA BRONZE,. and then apply an oinkmwnt to smooth mine loins..n im appply a colr that siuits././.the suit....press the pleats/.//staem at d e semas n press athe CREASE/.......i want a staeam that presses nein nein nynex is in kahootz with PROCTOR SILEX!
Vaseline = her new bff.
A winter care moisterizer like Vaseline should do the job. It's very effective and I personally use it all through the cold season and beyond.
';Amway hand and body lotion'; is the best ever. Also try washing your hands in cold water. It helps maintain better oils on the skin. It made a big difference for me. My hands used to crack real bad around my finger nails in the winter and now they don't since I started washing them in cold water.

Why do my dogs like hand cream?
Every time I put hand cream on no matter if it is scented or unscented my dogs LOVE to lick it off. Any ideas why?Why do my dogs like hand cream?
Probably because it smells good or tastes good. I own a dog that licks body lotion off my legs and arms (including hands). This a good question though. Why do my dogs like hand cream?
they don't want you to smell like something else they want you to smell like them....
It keeps their tongues soft and silky! And because it probably has milk scent in it.
They are putting there scent back on you!
Lol, I don't know why..
But my dog licks my skin when I get out the bath or shower lol, maybe they are cleaning us ??

Is there any negative effects from using too much hand moisturizing cream?
I use a strong hand moisturizer almost after everytime i wash my hands. Is there any negative effects from using too much hand moisturizing cream?
no, there should be no problem at all, you're providing your skin with the moisture it needs to replenish as well as the oils it needs to keep everything else (bacteria %26amp; excess water) out ... however, there is the off chance that you may appear to have clammy hands (yuck :P) hope this helpedIs there any negative effects from using too much hand moisturizing cream?
No, it's exactly like drinking a lot of water( but without the part of going to bath room too much ;))
it is recommended to hydrate your hands all the time
Sometimes, if it 'builds up' it can start to smell a bit cheesy.
Have you seen that Simpson's ep where Mr Burns rubs scalp wax on his head then tries to rest his head on his hand and it slips off? That's the only danger.
whats the worst that could happen? You cant open a jar or door. You'll be fine :0)

Best hand cream for frequent hand washer?
My mom is a home health care worker, and has to wash her hands extra frequently to keep herself and her clients healthy. Her hands often get chalky looking and very dry. She's tried things like Glysomed, but she finds a lot of hand creams too greasy.
What's the best hand lotion out there for someone who's always scrubbing up?Best hand cream for frequent hand washer?
Neutrogena Fast Absorbing Hand Cream. She can use it right after washing and it absorbs in like a second and its not greasy. It just feels like you have soft hands all of the sudden. It was also voted one of the best by AllureBest hand cream for frequent hand washer?
My Fedex guys swear by something called ';Corn Huskers Lotion';. It was developed by... well... people who husked corn and all the moisture was sucked out of their skin. The delivery men are handling so much paper and cardboard and then washing up throughout the day they too lose moisture. I don't believe its greasy. Greasy slippery hands would be no bueno when handling people's fragile packages. lol
vaseline intensive care for hands,it's in a small pink bottle,i got mine from riteaid i have been using it for 2 years now,and it's non-greasy and i don't plan on switching my brand ! lol
You think it might be disgusting and weird but its true. She has to pee on them the acid will make them soft.

Eucerin (not sure that I spelled that right)
Avon Silicon Glove is good too.
try anything with 'patroleum' product,,like vaseline.
Here's a really good trick: apply your vaseline lotion liberally before bed and then put sweatsocks on your hands. You'll awake and find some wonderful results!!! This also works on feet!
Another thing you can do to help your skin is DRINK MORE WATER!!!
Eucerin
Heals dry hands without the greasy feeling of other products.
It is popular in the medical community where doctors and nurses are always washing their hands (causing them to dry out) but not wanting that greasy feeling left behing by many other skin lotions.
It has to be dove hand cream it makes your hands really soft
Dove. They do a day cream and an intensive night cream. Its the best Ive ever tried and it smells really nice
Arbonne!!
IF YOU HAVE EXTREMELY DRY HANDS OR ANYWHERE ELSE THE BEST THING IS NEUTROGENA ';FOOT CREAM'; IT IS ALMOST THE SAME AS THE HAND CREAM BUT IT IS A LITTLE STRONGER FOR MORE SEVERE DRY PLACES AND EVEN THOUGHT IT IS FOR FEET I HAVE EVERY ONE USING IT THAT I KNOW OF THAT HAVE DRY HANDS AND FEET FOR BOTH ALSO IT IS GOOD FOR WHEN YOU GET AND COLD AND YOUR NOSE RUNS ALOT AND GETS DRY AND CHAPPED YOU CAN PUT IT ON YOU NOSE (WEIRD BUT TRUE)..
most times lubreidurm usually works for me (i think i spelled that wrong but if u say it the way i spelled it its right ).....hope it works
nutragena hand creme it will cure it in no time
Use hemp lotion, its like 6 bucks at walmart and it smells good too. I like it because i get severely dry skin, and I am also neurotic about having stuff on my skin, it absorbs quickly and leaves ya silky smooth.
Vasaline is probably the best and the most cost effective.
i have very dry hands myself. i am using this product from Crabtree and Evelyn. I like it very much... you may want to try this. i hope it helps!

MaryKay satin hands hand cream
I have found and like something called ';Udderly Smooth'; udder cream. Mine is from Redex Industries, Inc., Salem OH 44460. The jar lists a website at www.uddercream.com.
i use cuticura hand and nail cream an its cheap but the best by far...
Nutrogena...best I have found..i have EXTREMELY dry skin and it works wonders, my hands have been soft as can be since using this
I've finally found the best hand cream! L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream
neutrogena - swedish formula - it's brilliant, sinks in well, not greasy.
The best one I have found is Superdrugs own make - Concentrated hand balm. It's really effective and it's a lot cheaper than other ones. Try it!
Atrixo really good
i like Aveeno brand. The stress relief moisturizing lotion is my fave.
Vaseline Intensive Care lotion for healthy hands n nails - its very good....i use it daily at work n it keeps my hands n nails soft.
Try St. Ives Collagen Elastin Lotion. It works really great. Costs $4.99 but is worth it.
It has got to be E45 or Nivea. I have very very dry hands and dermatitis. I work in laundry so my hands are always in water, bleach and detergents (i can't wear gloves as i am allergic to latex). I must say that E45 and Nivea have done a brilliant job of keeping my hands healthy. Stay away from pefumed hand creams! The perfume in them dries your skin out even more and makes it all worse.
See http:/my.oriflame.co.uk/cosmetics_and_je鈥?for all your needs
I had alot of trouble with dry/cracking heels and was instructed to use La Therapie glycolic hand cream. It's expensive($52) but works wonders! check it out at :

I also like anything containing Shea butter but the glycolic acid is the miracle ingredient.
neutrogina
i use nivea hand and nail cream. it works a treat. i have also used vaseline intensive care, thats very greasy... so i dont suggest putting it on during the day!! but i use the nivea one and i have a nice tube of it i keep in my bag! :) x
Neutrogena only needs a dab.. and you see results straightaway.erythema

Hi: If you have hair loss due to some illness or the side effect of some medication, perhaps there is a way to regrow it. If the illness goes away or you stop taking the medication that caused hair loss, then your hair might grow back. (Yes, there are some medications that can cause hair loss.)
However, if you have male pattern baldness (assuming you are a guy) or something like that, there may not be much you can do. Biotin and lysine supplements have been touted for decades for hair growth. If they worked, manufacturers of biotin and lysine would be billionaires.
Please watch out for all the scams you can come across, especially on the web. The only approved treatments for hair loss are minoxidil and propecia, and they don't work that well. However, if you have a doctor who will prescribe them for you, maybe you can give them a try.
If you are a millionaire like Elton John, you can get a high-quality hair transplant, like he did.
Yes aloe vera is really effective and the results start showing in 15days.The growth starts from the sides and slowly close in.Full growth takes about a couple of months.Best wishes

What's the difference between hand/body lotion and hand/body cream?
While shopping online, it gets confusing. Don't they both absorb? Is hand lotion or cream stronger than body lotion or cream? Maybe BODY lotion or cream isn't as strongly fragranced? What's the difference between hand/body lotion and hand/body cream?
It has nothing to do with strength of fragrance.
They both absorb, but the cream may absorb at a slower rate. The lotion usually absorbs faster, because it has more water content. (It is possible for a cream to be heavy or light, but a lotion will generally be lighter.)
Use a cream or moisturizing lotion: on your body after a bath or shower, for general use (after washing your hands), and if you have dry skin.
If you have normal skin, use a lotion.
My recommendation: go to a retail store and check out the testers for the difference between a lotion and a cream in the brand you're interested in buying. (This is also a good way to test if the fragrance is too strong for your taste.)
There is a store (The Body Shop) that sells unscented products (lotions, bath gels, etc.) where you could buy a scent (one of 16 essential oils) and have it added to the product. This way you could add as much or as little scent that you want. What's the difference between hand/body lotion and hand/body cream?
There is very little difference other than a cream is thicker than a lotion.
the cream has a more potent formulation than the lotion..
if your skin needs a more intense treatment, choose the cream.

Is a separate nail n cuticle cream necessary or is 1 hand cream enough?
They usually have Cuticle Oil for your cuticals and nails, but you don't have to put these on everyday as those oils are usually once a week thing. So, one handcream is enough for everyday use.

Is the Crabtree and Evelyn hand cream worth the splurge? Which hand cream is better Crabtree's or L'occitane?
I want a hand cream that absorbs well and doesen't leave a greasy feeling. It might take a while, but as long as it absorbs a few minutes later, then it's fine. Also, if you like a hand cream, please state the variant. For example, Crabtree has lavender, gardener's, etc.Is the Crabtree and Evelyn hand cream worth the splurge? Which hand cream is better Crabtree's or L'occitane?
Yes! Crabtree %26amp; Evelyns hand theraphy is wonderful!! I have used every single hand theraphy cream in the store and they are all great! I wouldn't use the gardeners if you don't want the oily feeling, but the lasource is probably what you need. Its about $14 or $15 but its worth it. I use it so much along with the hand scrub and now when I wash my hands I don't even have to lotion up when i'm done, it just that good.Is the Crabtree and Evelyn hand cream worth the splurge? L'Occitane Shea Butter is fabulous but I can't say it doesn't leave your hands a little greasy.
You can try O.P.I. products. It works well with me. They have a line of body, hand and nail care cream, lotion and oil.

Walmart is just fine, theyre all a ripoff
I have always used Nivea creme..

What brand hand cream should I buy?
Nothing lasts. My hands are perpetually dry and it drives me nuts. It's like my hands just absorb it and need more. Curel and Lubriderm don't work. What brand hand cream should I buy?
I would recommend The Body Shop's Hemp Hand Protector. It's water resistant so it can with stand washings and locks moisture into the hands. Some people are turned off by the fragrance but it does wear off quickly and it works like a dream. What brand hand cream should I buy?
Neutrogeana (sp) Hand Creme--it comes in a little white tube. It is advertised as the fisherman's hand creme. Will put an end to all your troubles. Lasts through several washings of the hands. The bomb!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
try Glysomed
Same problem! Me and my mum both have very dry skin and lips. After every bath or shower, or just anytime, we put on Nivia Vissage and its AMAZING - A MIRICAL WORKER!
There is also a good lip balm and suncream too they last for ages! But arent greasy.
Hope Ive helped, good luck x x
try elizabeth arden';s
Eucerin Original Moisturizing Lotion works best for me. I've used it for years. It's the only lotion that works for my extremely dry skin.
try using a dab of baby oil in your bath water. It makes shaving alot easier and smoother. Baby oil will stay on top of the water and just let your whole body soak.
Neutrogena hand cream, the stuff in the tube. LOVE it. Also try Avon Intensive Moisturizing (think thats the name of it). Very close second to the Neutrogena.
I have the same problem and have to wash my hands a ton for work. I use Clarins hand and nail treatment. It's a concentrated cream that is intense. It also puts a waterproof barrier on the skin so it locks the moisture in. Helps your nails grow and softens cuticles as well. I use it in the morning and evening and have noticed great results. Also Loccitane makes a great shea butter and olive oil hand cream that works well too.
try neutrogena
try Ahava lotion
it comes from the Dead Sea in Israel where the entire bottom of the ocean is not sand, but a mineral mud. it works wonders on skin
it's a little pricey, but definitely worth it!!!
I always use glysomed hand cream. Works well and lasts a long time.
Dove nighttime cream - good to use before you go to bed...
Jerkins or KY jelly.
AVEENO :)
Try Neutrogena Swiss Formula Hand Cream or Burt's Bees Hand Cream.
The best thing for dry hands is Vaseline though. Slather your hands with Vaseline at night and cover with some light cotton socks. When you wake up in the morning hands will be super smooth and soft. It works with feet too.
Aveeno!! that stuff works miarcles!
cocoa butter, or vasealine then put gloves on and sleep with them.
promiise it works my boyfriend does it all the time
Dove handcream its new out! - special deal in Asda at the moment too - buy one get one free so hurry!
(i bought it for my mum and its the best she's used and she is a cook and cleaner in a school so her hands get v.dry!)

Burts Bees!

I agree with the first girl that answered. Neutrogena Norwegian hand cream really works.
utterly smooth...it looks like a cow print on the bottle:)
I personally like Gold Bond Medicated hand lotion and Eurcerin hand lotion. Both go on without leaving you with that greasy feeling once you rub the lotion in. They are a little more expensive but I think they are worth it.
Neutrogena's Norweigan Hand Cream works really well, and so does Burt's Bees Banana Hand Cream
Neutrogena'a hand cream
You know .. i think you should use VASELIN the original on it .. really helps moisture the hands and can also be used to soften the dry feet ... really makes them smooth if it's dry and tired more than the normal creams
Massage with olive oil or sunflower oil before shower .This is en effective remedy for chapped hands.More on hand care at

My hands are wrinkling easily when exposed to water for only a couple minutes. Know a good hand cream?
Lately my hands have been easily wrinkling in the shower after only a minute or two. That is never happened to me before. I am not quite sure what caused this, but it started around a time I had worked on my car without gloves. I think it may have damaged the epidermis. Anyone have any ideas of what may be going on? Anyone know of any good hand creams that will buildup the keratin on the palms of my hands so they don't wrinkle so easily with exposure to water? My hands are wrinkling easily when exposed to water for only a couple minutes. Know a good hand cream?
When your skin getts wrinkly from water its because your skin is already dehyrated, replenish from the inside, drink lots of water and yes moisturise your hands. I dont think youve damaged your epidermis, just dried it out with the grease remover etc. Good idea to use a moisturiser, most will do the trick, so just pic your preference in smell and texture, lanolin, sorbolene, vitamin E, coco butter, they shought all sought it out, just watch though as some will feel a bit 'oilyer' than others.

Can I use nivea hand cream on my face?
I have some dry skin on my face and no face cream! Is the hand one the same? Can I use nivea hand cream on my face?
cream is cream is cream...plenty of companies will market ONE product many different ways. That is the same for headache tablets, makeup, baby products... almost anything
you weren't specific with the type cream though, and many additives that may or may not be in it can be comodegenic, (Read: PORE CLOGGING.) they put stuff like silica in hand creams to create a protective waterproof covering that gives the illusion of soft silky hands...
ummm. don't put it on your face.
not unless you r really good at deciphering the list of garbage in the ingredients. Like...for instance ';d,l-Alpha-tocopheryl Acetate'; is just plain old ';vitamin E';. didn't know that did u?
It wouldn't really HURT you to put a bit on tonight, and go to the supermarket tomorrow, but it's not really gonna do any good either, in one night... just forget it for tonight and get a new face cream tomorrow... or go and see if you have banana or oatmeal or avocado in the kitchen... these work well too in an emergency!! good luck xoCan I use nivea hand cream on my face?
s ofcorse u can use
as the name suggests you should probably stick to using it as hand cream but there are plenty of face and body creams that are thick and of the same quality as nivea creams if not better. some are eausserin because of its texture and suave because of its complex chemical balance. i hope this works for you! :)
no, it will clog your pores
Yes, it is fine, same thing really.
for dry skin take some honey mixed with lemon juice ..apply it on your face and wash your face after 10 minutes.................................鈥?wash your face with milk everyday.your skin will become more glowy and attractive...and then i'll propose you..hahahahah
Absolutely not..Your face is generally more sensitive than your hands. The skin on your face and on your hands are different. Try using olive oil instead. Apply at least 1 tsp. all over your face and rinse.
No it's not. I don't recommend using a hand lotion on your face...I only recommend using a face lotion. The reason being is that there is too much added ingredients to the hand lotion that can make your face break out. Also...your face is not has tough as the skin on your hands...it's much more delicate so there is way too much stuff in hand lotion.

I poured hand cream on the wall of my living room. How can I clean it.?
I actually would try Formula 409 because it is a grease based stain. The problem will be getting rid of the oily residue. You could also try straight vinegar and a sponge because vinegar cuts grease and oil.I poured hand cream on the wall of my living room. How can I clean it.?
Soap And WaterI poured hand cream on the wall of my living room. How can I clean it.?
Scrubber, soap, water.
Good luck.

It helps soften the hands. Conditioners also have emulsifying agents that soften the hair.

Whats the best anti ageing hand cream/soap I should use on a daily basis?
I hear the first signs of ageing show up on your hands face and neck so you should use sun screen on your face and neck but what should I use on my hands to delay the ageing process?
Any other tips/advice on anti ageing would be greatly appreciated!!!Whats the best anti ageing hand cream/soap I should use on a daily basis?
*Any cream/soap simply applied to skin is going to do very little if anything at all.to prevent aging. And many so called anti aging creams, moisturizers and countless other skincare and maintenance products have toxic, skin harming, skin AGING ingredients. Some cause itchy, blistery skins, rashes and even acne and worse

To maintain skin health and keep it young looking there is no safer, modest cost treatment than thoroughly massaging with essential oils. They are only beneficial, health promoting and feed skin many nurturing nutrients. You will see transforming results even in one or two days.
A main causes of skin aging (and premature wrinkles) is weakening of facial muscles with age. That can best be counteracted by quite brisk massaging. To avoid skin pulling, first tighten face by opening mouth 3/4';and pulling lips firmly back against teeth. Then do a forward and back massage(not circular) using tips and front fingers and sometimes palms. Doing both exercises/conditions face and neck muscles. Skin will also be firmed, toned and will look and feel smoother and In a few days skin will visibly tighten and look revitalized.
If focus massage on any beginning wrinkles, lines and crows-feet it will not just fade them a little, but greatly minimize them and largely prevent/inhibit others forming. See my many answers giving detailed info how to maintain young healthy skin, prevent wrinkles %26amp; premature aging.

Oils are perfect, safe and skin benefiting moisturizers. Use anywhere on body. You will need no other one. Olive, sweet almond and lavender are excellent. They quickly absorb into skin do not leave it oily or shiny. Simply splash with water and dab dry with tissues. The above treatment is the only treatment you will ever need. I've seen it totally transform sickened, acne plagued, prematurely aging faces into flawless, radiantly healthy and youthful ones.

Sunscreen. Its the best anti aging product out there. You can use it on your hands and it will work just fine. You can get an SPF of up to 100. Just browse the sun care section at Walmart, CVS, Walgreen's or any place in between.
There is nothing that will work better than sunscreen.
Try applying vaseline to your hands at night before you go to bed, and wearing gloves over it to seal in the moisture,
Sally Hansen anti wrinkle hand cream is brilliant though, does wonders on the hands,
Molton Brown White Mulberry hand wash and hand cream, made especially to fight age signs on hands, smells divine and makes hands so soft and lovely.
Looks cool in bathroom as well, as a plus point!
I have used Jergen's Ultra Healing lotion for years. Now I am almost twenty and people still think that I am fifteen years old. I apply it all over myself daily.

Hmm, I don't know. I tried this one thing one time that left my hands feeling so soft. First I rubbed my hands with sugar as a natural exfoliant. Then I rubbed them with Crisco to make them smooth. Finally I put on a dab of vanilla extract to make them smell good. But I guess you can't really give that to your friends, I just though I'd say that.

What is your favorite hand cream?
I have fairly okay hands. But when the cold weather comes, it starts to dry out. I have been looking for a good hand cream and wonder what you guys are using. I am open to any brand. Thanks. What is your favorite hand cream?
i like suave aloe vera lotion. It's great because it doesn't have much alcohol in it or perfumes and it really moisturizes and heals my skin because of the aloe vera. What is your favorite hand cream?

this hand cream is alcohol free and can be ordered with either fragrance or without
it really works for very dry skin Report Abuse
I love Burts Bees Almond Milk hand cream.
I have the same problem in the winter. I use Lubiderm for sensitive skin. It stays on all day and is water proof... At night I use baby lotion. Good Luck to you
I use a great ';Gardeners Salve'; that I make myself with shea %26amp; Cocoa butter, beexwax, vitamin e oil %26amp; skin healing herbs.
Norwegian formula and hand cream. You just need a dab and it works great!
It is a little pricey but it is worth it...you can buy it at CVS or any drug store.
I use a cream called SEACRET. It's upposed to be from the dead sea, well I don't knw about that but it really makes my hands and feet feel very soft and the nice thing is that it doesn't have an oder so it doesn't clash with perfume... They have a website and other products, check it out
www.seacretspa.com
I use Skin So Soft-';Winter Soft'; and also Vaseline (the lotion).
Its' from avon. It is called Planet Spa African Shea Butter. Really work's good.
I highly suggest Crabtree %26amp; Evelyn's hand therapy. They have a ';60-Second Fix'; manicure set which brings the hand therapy and also ';hand recovery'; which is a hand scrub. I used to work for the company and this was our best selling product. Hands feel silky smooth after the recovery treatment and topped with the hand therapy - nothing like it!
Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion
The body shop..olive butter..its amazing! You will have such soft hands after!
i like suave aloe vera lotion. It's great because it doesn't have much alcohol in it or perfumes and it really moisturizes and heals my skin because of the aloe vera. What is your favorite hand cream?
The best one that I could find was olankas hand cream
http://olankas.com
this hand cream is alcohol free and can be ordered with either fragrance or without
it really works for very dry skin Report Abuse

I use Skin So Soft-';Winter Soft'; and also Vaseline (the lotion).

How can I preserve my natural hand cream longer without refrigeration?
Try storing in a dry cool shaded place; away from other smells and lights ..How can I preserve my natural hand cream longer without refrigeration?

What's the best hand cream for day care workers, nurses or other people who frequently wash their hands?
I work at a daycare and change diapers, feed, and clean all day, so I'm constantly washing my hands. I would say I wash them between 40-60 times a day. My skin is so dry and thick, you can pinch the back of my knuckels and the skin doesn't go back. I get paper cuts easily and I have tiny painful bumps on my palms and sometimes back of my hands (the doctor says it's ezcema from dry skin). I've recently thought about the paraffin wax baths, but not sure if it's worth the investment. Is there anything that you can recommend from experience or someone who you know. It seems that I've tried 5-6 different creams and it's just not enough. Thank you! What's the best hand cream for day care workers, nurses or other people who frequently wash their hands?
Probably your best move is to get some alcohol based hand gel and use that to wash your hands unless they are visibly soiled. Most of the hand gels have some sort of glycerin or lanolin in them and dont dry your hands out as bad as soap and water. Also, DO NOT use antibacterial soap.
If you are washing your hands with soap and water, the friction and the running water wash off the bacteria. If you are using the hand gel, the alcohol kills any bacteria on your skin.
Antibacterial soaps do both wash off and kill. However, the pH of antibacterial soap is very high so it strips your skin of its natural oils and protective layer called the acid mantle. Dove is the best, commonly found soap to use to keep your acid mantle intact.
I am a nurse and use hand gel (which is recommended by the CDC) about 20 or more times a day. I use no lotions or creams and have no issues with dry hands.
As long as the gel has 60% alcohol, it is effective!~
Another thing you can do is when you get home from work and ready for bed, slather some plain Vaseline on your hands and go to bed. If you can wear some type of breathable glove while you are sleeping it will make the Vaseline soften your hands up faster. Like those brown work gloves! You wont have to do it every day, just a few times a week until you get them in the shape you want them. What's the best hand cream for day care workers, nurses or other people who frequently wash their hands?
I found the BEST HANDCREME in the WORLD while I lived in NEW ZEALAND !!! It is made with a pecial honey only found in NZ !!! The company is: API-CARE , the product is: REPAIR ME, it 's sub-name is: CALENDULA %26amp; MANUKA HONEY HANDCREME !!!!!!
Honey is a NATURAL Humadicant (meaning it pulls moisture from the air and into itself thus extra-moisturizing your skin !!! aLSO THE uNIVERSITY OF nz DID A STUDY ON THE hONEY AND FOUND IT HAS VAST HEALING POWERS + IT kills GERMS ON YOUR SKIN FOR HOURS !!!
I am diabetic %26amp; therefore have very dry skin! I havent found any handcreme that stays on my skin longer (even after washing hands once) or that makes my skin feel so good!!! I've checked everywhere in USA for anything comparable %26amp; have found nothing (and I havent even found a USA handcream that has any honey in it) !!!
Here's a store in NZ where you can buy it (remember the price she quotes you will be in NZ dollars %26amp; thus about 1/3 cheaper in American money -- she may be able to tell you the convertion cost or go to an on-line conversion site). It was $11.06 per tube USD when I bought it last week (I order 5 to 6 tubes at once to save on shipping). Their price in NZD was about $14.75 or so b4 shpg %26amp; shpg for 5 tube was $22.65USD. so, it cost me $55.30 for 5 tubes + 22.65 for shpg = $77.95 or $15.59 per tube and it's WELL WORTH FIFTEEN-BUCKS a Tube !!!
Here's a place to order directly from NZ: New Zealand World (04) 499-2227 or fax (04) 499 2227 (ask your operator how to place international call from your area %26amp; check your rates (my rates are 7-cents a minute thru Comcast Cablevision %26amp; I had 6-cents a minute thru Sprint Telephone.
I prefer buying direct as most on-line sites go to a new frachize (an american couple who charge $19.95 a tube which ends up costing you about $22USD more than ordering direct. (They use the name: VASHON ORGANICS. They'll try to tell you that you can only buy it through them if you live in USA, but that's not true -- you can order DIRCT to the company aka HONEY %26amp; HERBS -- why should you pay them an extra $21.80 for something you can order direct for $11.06 per tube + $22.65 shipping = $77.95 and they're trying to get $99.75 out of you !!! They advertise the TRUE NZ cost, but if you but from them they'll add a profit of $22.65 to YOUR CC, so buy DIRECT !!! ). Their main name is: API-CARE tho. Nz's country code for direct dial is 64.
I lived in NZ for several months in 2002 and this handcreme is TOP QUALITY in the WORLD !!!
Anyway go direct! You'll love the way this creme makes your skin feel!!! I am a nurse too and I have to apply it many times a day, but one tube lasts me 3+ months !!! AND it IS WONDERFUL STUFF !!!! aND YOU ONLY HAVE TO REAPPLY EVERY OTHER HANDWASHING !!! pLUS IT KILLS GERMS WHILE ON YOUR SKIN -- reader's digest HAD A STORY ON mANUKA hONEY in it's last issue (March?)
I really hope you'll try it -- I never recommend anything that isnt TOP QUALITY !!!!

Get a tube of cocoa butter from walgreens the real stuff or target . It usually comes in a little tube and is only a couple of dollars. It looks like this..
http://shopping.yahoo.com/s:Body%20Care:鈥?/a>
If not that brand another is fine sometimes I find it in a yellow tube too.
A health food store should carry cocoa butter . The real stuff is firm . I take a bit off the stick and melt it against my skin in my hand or in the microwave for two seconds.
Then apply it and put on some soft gloves and wear them to bed . It softens your hands.
Now if the bumps on your hands are wet no gloves . Apply honey (manuka if you can get it at your health food store) to the wet part. Look for active manuka honey .
Rub cocoa butter in the real dry parts . I also use emu oil . A little goes a long way
http://www.gentleridge.com/emuoil.html.
Some health food stores carry it but the best price I've found is online.
It can be mixed with whatever lotion you are using or used by itself . It goes deep into the layers of the skin.
Flax seed oil suppliments help . They heal from the inside . Only 20% of skin nutrtion comes from the outside so drink lots of water.
Good luck
Sorry but Vaseline aka Petroleum is the worst choice for anyone. Especially if you wash your hands all the time.
This is mineral oil or (distilled petroeleum) aka baby oil which is a cheap substance and hardens skin not softens it. The best trick to prove this is take a saltine cracker and place it in 1/4 cup of distilled petroleum (baby oil) and another cracker in 1/4 cup of water, the oil cracker is hard. - Don't use any creams with vaseline or mineral oils.. especially dry skin.
Try pure and natural products - my husband swears by corn huskers lotion as it's not greasy. Found at the store yellow cap.. (he has the worst hands)
Have you ever heard of Arbonne? They make all botanical based products which are excellent for eczema - they make a sea salt scrub that may help, and their products are very pure (the soaps may really help you).
In addition to the lotions.
If you can, find ';Bag Balm'; where you live (or you can order it online). It's a strange name, I know. It was first designed by farmers to put on the ';bags'; of their milk cows, but is now produced for people. While you can use it anytime, try using it in the evening. Ideally, get some nice cotton gloves, slather on the bag balm, and put on the gloves and wear through the night. If you do that once and awhile, I bet you'll see your hands improve dramatically.
This is an excellent question. I am a doctor who washes her hands countless times a day as well. The resultant thick, dry skin is called ';dyshydrosis.'; Over the counter products are difficult because it really is the prescription products that work better (with a very low dose of steroid to help the worst areas - used sparingly). I use over the counter cetaphil and eucerin daily - multiple times a day. Keep them moist. Oh...and there is a doctor at my hospital that SWEARS by smearing his hands with vaseline, placing rubber gloves over them, and leaving them that way at night - he says it works like a charm, but I have never tried it... Good luck!
I am in the same situation...I teach and use gloves (powdered) and then a million hand washes. I had a spot that took 1/2 the year to heal! Aquaphor seems to be the best.....use a light lotion during the day after hand washes, but put a heavy coating of Aquaphor on in the morning and evening (the one in the white tub with the blue lid). It's a little pricey, but they actually recommend it for radiation patient's burns! It has GREATLY helped my baby with her eczema too. If you are like me, your cuticles are probably a dry mess too...I LOVE, LOVE the Burt's Bees lime cuticle cream. It smells great and really helps those dry cuticles. Good Luck!!
I like Oil of Olay quench or Jergens Ultra Healing lotion. Both make my hands soft without feeling oily.
I had kinda the same thing. What i did to get over this nightmare is that I bought baby oil. I put baby-oil all over the sink. Then I filled the sink with water and placed my two hands in the sink for about 5 minutes. When I was done, My skin felt brand as new!

Anyone know of an awsome hand cream that REALLY works on dry skin?
Please help... I just moved to a cooler climate from Fl and my fingers and skin on my hands are cracking. I have tried so many hand creams. Got any suggestions. It really is annoying and painfulAnyone know of an awsome hand cream that REALLY works on dry skin?
Try a lotion called ';Lac-Hydran';. You can buy it at CVS and Walgreens, Rite-Aid. We used it on our patients who had very dry, thin skin to prevent skin tears. It is a bit expensive, but works great! Many of my patients had it ';prescribed'; to them by their doctors, but you can buy it OTC. You can also try ';Aquaphor';. It is a petroleum based cream that works great too. This is what I personally use. My skin gets so dry it cracks and bleeds when the weather gets cold, so I know how you feel! ;)
Good Luck and welcome to real winters!Anyone know of an awsome hand cream that REALLY works on dry skin?
Avon intensive moisture therapy hand cream.
p.s. It also lasts through a few hand washings which
non of the others seemed to do.
I would try a hemp hand cream - the body shop has one - hemp is a fantastic moisturiser.
Try Cornhuskers or Bag Balm. You can find them at almost any drug store or Walmart. Both worked for me.
try Eucerin, it is a little more expensive but well worth the price.erythema

What's the worst that could happen if i ingested a good bit of hand cream/lotion?
Do I need to go to the poison control center?
Could I get liver failure? What's the worst that could happen if i ingested a good bit of hand cream/lotion?
Why did you ingest it? What kind was it. Some are made out of non toxic ingredients and some are not. You could just call poison control 1-800-222-1222 and anonymously ask them and be sure to have the bottle right there so they can get any info they may need from it. The number I gave you they do not charge you a dime to give you advice. What's the worst that could happen if i ingested a good bit of hand cream/lotion?
Best call your doctor first. Poison Control Center charges money to help. It depends first if there is any alcohol in it, and I mean rubbing not drinking. It can cause internal damage. If you cant reach your doctors office, try going to the emergency room or urgent care clinic. Better to be safe than sorry. I have checked and most hand lotions are non toxic, but follow up with a doctor is recommended to be sure. Good luck:)
if you swollowed alot you should just drink alot of fluids and go to sleep. because your stomach might start hurting. and you might get diarea

Body shop hemp hand protector is designed for very dry skin, it smells funny but it is immense - my ex used it to combat medication that dried out his skin to the point it was cracking, and loved it.Can anyone recommend a really good hand cream please?
The best one that I could find was olankas hand cream
http://olankas.com
this hand cream is alcohol free and can be ordered with either fragrance or without
it really works for very dry skin Report Abuse
Crabtree %26amp; Evelyn's Gardener's Hand Therapy. It is quite honestly the best stuff in the world! Comes in many different scents and works wonders for my work-roughened hands.
wow..im surprised b.c i LOOOOOVE the vaseline hand cream...maybe try Jergens...i always like that...i dont have extremely dry hand but i have dry elbows and its always worked for me...
Try Burt's Bees hand moisturizers. All their products are preservative-free and really live up to their promise. Try their Shea Butter Hand Repair Creme (12USD), Beeswax and Banana Hand Creme, Almond Milk Beeswax Hand Creme (for hard-working hands, 8USD) or Hand Salve if your hands are really rough. My personal favorite is their Shea Butter. It doesn't smell fancy though, but it really does wonders. I apply it before hitting the bed. Oh gosh. Now I sound like Burt's Bees paid me to market their products. Haha. Just check their website out: www.burtsbee.com
Cien- Hand and Nail is veryyyy good
A light coating of olive oil well rubbed in,this aids circulation and keeps your skin soft and supple,it,s been used for centuries, there is nothing better.
nivea or a boots own brand. have a nice day !
i work on aircraft and my hands often come into contact with oils that dry out my skin and could cause dermatitis. i combat this by using virgin vie ';in safe hands'; treatment balm every night before i go to bed. its a creamy, intensly moisturising melting butter that does the hands the world of good. this is 拢10 for 100ml but iv had my pot for nearly a year and i still have lots left!. alternately i carry the ';happy hands'; softening balm in my bag which is only 拢6.75 for 100ml and gives u softer younger looking hands with a visible effect. plus they smell yummy 2! you can order virgin vie products online, through the catalogue or through virgin vie parties and if u add my consultant number (90748) i can get you free gifts and discounts for being a fab customer! hope this helps
my fave is jerkins. Eucerin and nivea both sound like they'd be pretty think, like you'd have to rub them in for a while longer. Aveeno is also very good. too.
Renew from Melaleuca it has tree oil in it it is the best hand lotion that I have ever try...and I'm an AVONLADY
go to http://www.melaleuca.com
try deep sea cosmetics- its expensive but works.
Norwegian formula is so good, i get really dry hands but that makes so much difference. I think it costs about 拢4
Do you work with your hands in an environment that is responsible for drying them out?
If so rather that looking at cosmetic hand creams you might be better off using a barrier cream that will help protect them from drying out in the first place. Used by people as varied as grease monkey mechanics to hairdressers.
My mother in law says ponds or clarins.
I had cuts on my hands once because of the cold and the only one who worked really well it was Neutrogena the normal one.
Sorry don't know anymore, but for me it's the best one.
Good luck.
Mary Kay has a great hand cream plus there is a satin hands kit that is much more expensice then you want to spend but in th elong run it will cost you less becasue if you use it you will find you will use less hand cream.
free samples sdoshi@marykay.com
Iv always been of the belief that the Neutrogena was the best on the market. Do I take it by your comments that you are including that as one you have tried and dismissed?
I expect that most with some sort of Glycerine in them are also going to be a good bet.
Hope you find what youre looking for..
Eucerin
Also, Mary Kay's Satin Hands kit contains an exfoliant, an extra emollient night cream and a hand cream. It's a 3-step process but really works well for dry hands. It's a bit more expensive than you asked for, but it really works well.

Calgon's collection is the best. They're based on it's perfumes, but it's much lighter. I think it's only about 2 or 3 dollars, and it's really good. I recommend Coconut Sorbet. It's to die for.
Cuticura dry skin hand cream - 99p frm bodycare and its a huge tub aswel (as far as handcream goes)
Nivea DNA age hand cream is good but amore expensive hand cream that really works is Ultra-Concentrate Cream for Hands 拢38 by StiVectin at Space NK.
There is a product called badger balm, i buy it at Advance Auto Parts and its made to smooth rough hands. It works good for me.
My grandma bought my husband ';Utter Balm'; I don't know the name brand. It works great on his dry, cracked winter hands. You could also try using Vaseline and putting socks over your hands as you sleep. This works really good too, but it feels weird. Good Luck!
Go to Bath and Body Works they have everything and it is not expensive.
Body shop should have something. Elizabeth Arden does amazing cremas, but they're pricey.
swarfega is cool, effective and within your budget
i have very dry hands and i use flexitol which is intended for feet once or twice a day it costs 拢4.99 and u can find it in supermarkets or pharmacies usually with foot care. in between i use a standard handcream like dove or nivea every time i wash my hands. also u can use Aqueous cream (couple of pounds from pharmacy for large tub) to wash your hands with instead of soap stops them getting so dry
I like nivea's hand cream
Michel Mercier is a really good haircream. Also Careline is a good shampoo and conditioner.I dont know how much it costs
Sorry....
Try eurcerin cream, many doctors recommend it.
im surprised you didn't like atrixo i swear by it. however i did run out a couple of weeks ago and started using the body shop almond oil daily hand and nail cream its fab and smells lovely cant remember the price but knowing me it wouldn't have been more than a fiver. good luck!
Ive tried Dove/ Atrixo/ Avon Glycerine Hand Cream/ Neutrogena %26amp; Vaseline Hand Care................ but not impressed.
Can anyone recommend a good handcream please.
Preferrable approx 拢5.00 or less.
Thanks : )Can anyone recommend a really good hand cream please?

Use hand cream in my hair to get rid of frizz?
Does anyone use or have tried to use hand cream in their hair instead of gel or other hair products? Ive tried it a few times when my hair is really frizzy and i use it to slick my hair back. It does a great job. I only use about a half a teaspoon worth. Is putting hand cream in my hair a bad idea or do many people do this? It makes my hair feel great.Use hand cream in my hair to get rid of frizz?
Wait, do you use like Bath and Body Works hand cream?
That could damage your hair, so I don't know...
I've never tried it, but if it works great, go ahead and use it!
I use actually hair gels/creams on my hair for frizz, and those work great too!

Does hand cream work anywhere on the body?
ive used that new intensive rescue vaseline hand cream on my face :S, but my face feels really soft recently!
just wondering if you can actually use it and if anyone else has?Does hand cream work anywhere on the body?
Most hand creams are just a bit thicker than body lotions, but if it works for your face then there's a good chance it'll work everywhere! Try it and see, it won't do any harm, you obviously haven't had a reaction to it so it shouldn't be a problem. Might just take a little bit longer to soak in though, but that will also depend on how dry your skin is.
I use all sorts on my dry legs, there hasn't been anything that hasn't worked.Does hand cream work anywhere on the body?
There should be no problem but a lot of face creams are made so that your face doesn't breakout because of the cream. Hand creams may have more oil in them so watch for breakouts. If you don't have a problem with your skin then there is no reason why you cant.
I use the same cream, but I really think it's too heavy to use on the face.I also use it in my arms.
IT IS JUST A CREAM.
yeah i don't see the harm in it
lol
:/

Can I use hand cream or lotion to condition my leather sofa?
Definitely not, there are oils and waxes in hand creams and lotions that will help attract dirt and oils to your leather and will help destroy the finish.
The only 'conditioner' that leather needs is water (moisture) it does not need any oils replacing as those in the leather are very stable, so by using water based products you keep it in good condition. You do however need to use a protector which will inhibit dirt and oils from being absorbed into the leather.
You need to use a good quality water based foam leather cleaner. Strong cleaner or Maxi Cleaner if it is very dirty. With light coloured leather dye transfer from clothing can be a problem although using a good quality leather protector will help inhibit this.
DO NOT use anything containing oils, waxes or silicones. (Most 'conditioners' contain waxes or oils) and furniture polish contains silicones. Most car cleaners also contain oils or waxes so should not be used as they leave residues on the surface of the leather which attract more dirt.
BABY WIPES are the worst thing you can use as they will destroy the finish on your leather. They are very strong alkiline cleaners to neutralise urine (acid) on babys skin so they are not the right thing to use on leather.
Saddle soap is too harsh to use on todays leathers.
A lot of leather wipes contain chemicals which will also destroy the finish or leave residues on the leather which will damage it. They are not cheap in the long run as you would need a lot to clean.
Fairy liquid contains more salt these days to get dishes clean and this will break the finish down on your leather. This has been verified by the manufacturers (as with the baby wipes).
You should also follow cleaning with a good water based leather protector which will act like a 'scotchgard' and inhibit dirt and stains from being absorbed and make cleaning easier the next time.
Dry leather needs rehydrating with water and oils and waxes should not be used as the natural oils do not dry out of leather. Wiping over with a damp cloth regularly will help to do this.
It is important to maintain a regular cleaning regime cleaning dirt off the surface regularly and inhibiting the absorption of body oils into the leather with a protector is the best way of doing this.
The alternative is a brand new product on the market called Lazy Leather. This is the latest technology in cleaning and combines an effective cleaner with a protector. It is quick and easy to use and should be used as a maintenance product once your suite has been cleaned or from new if you have just bought it.
Using incorrect care products is usually the cause of deterioration in the leather.
Please do not use baby oil!!
